This is the first page of my notebook. I will post each page as a separate article as to make it more like a notebook instead of just a short story.

1

This is just a warning to any who has found this notebook and is planning on reading it. I am writing down my thoughts and views about things and events that I have witnessed. If you do not feel that you can handle this then please just put my notebook back wherever you found it.

As I sit here and think of how this happened I cannot help but think that this is not how it was supposed to happen. It just wasn’t supposed to be this way. The only thing that I would hope for was one of two things and they were to wake up and find out that this whole mess was all just a bad dream, but since I know that this was real I guess the only thing I could really hope for was for the relief to relieve me of my watch shift. I always had to chuckle when I thought of my shift being over. Mainly because then I was allowed 18 hours rest time. Ha who could rest in the times we were in?

I mean I had fifteen minutes until I was supposed to be relieved and the have time to rest. However who was I trying to trick. I would just take the most tired person’s spot and pull a double shift like I do every other night. Sometimes not being able to sleep and having great night vision seemed like a flaw to me instead of a great talent. Then again if it was not for my persistent watching and great night vision who knows how many good people would be dead. Heck this whole place might have been overrun by now. So I guess my talents are a blessing to this place that we call home.

Ah my relief is coming this way. Now who am I going to surprise by taking their place? Hum Wayne looks like he could use a break and besides watching downhill in the front yard during a moon lit night is not hard at all. It sure beats the sniper tower. Either way I have to stop writing now and make sure my relief is up to date on everything.
