They were meant to be.
Author’s Notes: Tae Geuk is the Korean symbol of Um (the blue lower half of the circle meaning earth – the female principle) and Yang (the red upper half meaning heaven – the male principle), Yin and Yang in Chinese. It represents the unity of opposites, bound together as parts of a mutual whole. Heaven and earth; the sun and the moon; light and dark; winter and summer; man and woman; love and lust. Opposites, but in harmony, creating a delicate balance. You can not have one without the other. I view Mi-Na and Hwang in this way. They complete each other – two halves of a whole. When I see the Tae Geuk symbol, I see two lovers entwined, becoming one.
Um
Mi-Na looked up at Hwang in awe, gazing at his broad, muscular chest, her throat moistening with desire. She filled her vision with his glorious form, captivated. Oh how magnificent he was to behold! She wanted to touch him – feel him with her dainty, trembling hands. She wanted him, needed him. He was man who had stolen her heart long ago with his kindness and compassion. Solemn and stoic on the surface, but underneath there was a profound gentleness that moved her so. She loved him deeply and sincerely, with all of her heart and soul. No other man could move her so implicitly, without reservations.
She gazed into into his dark, smoldering eyes, expressing her intense need for him. Wisps of his dark-brown hair fell in front of his eyes, causing her fingers to twitch, wanting to brush it back from his handsome face. She longed to run her hands through his hair, to kiss his mouth, to touch his body with hers.
She stared at his large hands, wishing they caressing her breasts, caressing her. Oh how she ached for him! She trembled with a need to be with him, to be one with him.

Yang
Hwang looked at Mi-Na, her big, luminous eyes melting his heart. She looked so sweet and innocent, so pure and winsome, untainted by the horrors of life. Her radiance warmed him to his very core. She was his ray of light, forever sustaining him with hope. Without her, he knew he would drown in darkness and despair. He needed her, he wanted her.
He watched her as she clutched her long, beautiful braid, looking shy and demure, a rosy blush coloring her cheeks. He longed to run his hands over it, to feel its silky softness, to feel her. She placed a delicate finger on her chin, imploring him, beckoning him to come – to come to her. Her luscious, naked body trembled, desiring his touch, completely enchanting him. He would deny her no more…

Tae Geuk
Hwang embraced Mi-Na, filling her with him, surrounding himself with her warmth and purity. He buried himself deep within in her sweetness, shuddering only in the exquisiteness that was Seong Mi-Na. She arched her hips into him, clinging to him, never wanting to let go. He held on to his beloved, infused with her wonderful goodness and strength. With her, he became stronger, better, more alive. She completes him, making him whole, empowering him – giving him life.
Hwang held Mi-Na tight, knowing only true happiness. This rapture, this bliss, he never wanted it to end. They were truly as one.
