The Wearable Art Gallery of the Harvenstall Art Museum has the largest collection of diamonds in the world.  It’s no wonder thieves tried to steal items from that gallery.  Besides the coat, cape, hood, and scarf that are covered by diamonds, there are many other items that are covered by diamonds both natural and man-made with the man-made ones being the largest and most perfect.  And there are other gems that at times are more valuable than diamonds due to their rarity. 

When visitors enter the Wearable Art Gallery they are prevented from touching the exhibits by force fields.  The only way they can examine the exhibits closely is if they are being experienced by an EPU program.  Then they can imagine wearing the items. 

The first thing that visitors see are the diamond suits of armor.  Every single inch of the suits are covered by diamonds with crystal clear diamonds that are an inch thick covering the eyes.  Even the air vents that point downward are diamonds with diamond filters.  Platinum thread holds the diamonds together and diamond studded straps made from platinum threads and diamond fasteners keep the suit together.  The only thing that is visibly metal is the platinum sword that is more ceremonial than an actual deadly weapon.  But if it needs to be used, it can kill someone. 

Each suit weighs over over 170 pounds and requires someone to secure the pieces onto the wearer.  The largest diamonds weigh over 1000 carats.  The chain mail that covers the wearer is made from platinum rings which makes the garment weigh well over thirty pounds.  Only the strongest knights could have worn such suits that are estimated to price between 5 to $10 billion.  There are a dozen such suits in the gallery. 

There are other suits of armor made from synthetic diamonds that has plates, some weighing over 30 pounds, that cover the wearer.  It too has diamond studded straps that are made from platinum treads that have diamond fasteners.  The chain mail is made from platinum rings and weighs over 30 pounds with the suit coming in at nearly 180 pounds.  Since the diamonds are all synthetic, the estimated price is a more “reasonable” 1 to $2 billion.  Even the synthetic diamond sword is worth approximately $100 million and can be used as a weapon since the edge is naturally sharp being three atoms wide.  There are six suits and six swords.
