This is a series about the wondrous land of Wadeer.

The music played and the celebration was ending into slumber.  She slowly walked up the steps knowing this would be the last time she would celebrate this way in the Great Hall.  She knew that the games of her childhood had come to an end. For tomorrow, she must start her journey.

As she opened the door to her room, she saw her father, the king of the east, sitting upon her bed with a sword in his lap. He laid the sword up on the bed and slowly walked towards his daughter to spread his arms around her.

“Tomorrow you will begin the quest.”, he said sorrowfully. She could hear the despair in his voice.

“What you do will unite the lands of the east and the west for many years.   No such alliance has ever happened between us in the history of Wadeer.” He paused for a moment in quiet reflection.

She hugged him tighter as he whispered, “ You will make us proud”. He released his grip upon his daughter and headed for the door.

She paused there for a moment, while she watch him leave.  As the door closed behind him, she walked over to the bed and leaned her rapier sword against the bed side table, and sunk into bed. She knew this was her last night’s sleep in a comfortable bed for a long while.  She laid there quietly and thought about all the new places she would see and the people she would encounter. She wandered slowly off to sleep as the feelings of anticipation had finally drifted her to sleep.

Hours later she awoke restless from her sleep. she sank her feet onto the cold cobblestone floor and tiptoed over to here window sill to watch the moon.  She wondered if she would survive long enough to see this lovely place again. All of her life, the princess had been here at the castle. Training and studying in the ways of her people. Tomorrow would be the first time she had ever stepped from the castle. Lets hope all these years were not a waste………………………………………………

Part 2 will be coming soon!!!!!!!!!!!
