The human invasion of a Utopia.
We were ultimately helpless in the battle. All of our nineteen ships I believe where in our fleet where destroyed. Our only accomplishment out of that day was that we managed to destroy one Tarkas Sword. Even then a repair vessel would be by soon to repair the Carrier Dreadnought and replace the STL Sword Battlecruiser.
We lost our most prized fleet! Anger was like a plague when I returned with the report. I was put on a Honorable Discharge for my duties and lived my life here ever sense.”

I breathed a deep sigh of relief as I finished.
“How did you survive!the girl sat there and glared at me waiting for a response.
“Oh, that.. well to make it short the Tarkas seem to only be interested in the destruction of ships built to fight. Colonization Vessels where considered a sign of peace and prosperity so they did not harm my ship.I took another deep Sigh of disappointment as I went on, 滴owever another Colonization Cruiser was caught in the crossfire of the Tarkas and destroyed.”
The girl was suddenly confused at the later part of my answer.
“Oh no don’t get me wrong it wasn’t on purpose. As proof of that I saw the only escape pod that managed to escape get retrieved by the Tarkas Ship.”
“Wait! How do you know the people where not interrogated then killed??”
“Well we have half breeds like you. I can’t see how all Tarkas would wish to interrogate and kill innocent civilians.”
“Is that everything Sir?she said quietly
“Yes, kid that everything that I can tell you.I smiled at her and took the article she wrote on the computer she had in her lap and I put my initials and ranking next to the signature line.
“Thank you Sir, you know you are very kind? She smiled and stood up from the couch that I was in maybe three hours ago before the knock at my door.
“I don’t think I am as kind as you have me portrayed kid.I looked at her and stood up myself to greet her kindly out the door. “By the way is your father or mother Tarkas? My question was begging to come out from the moment I found out.
“Neither Sir.She smiled at me warmly, but my thoughts were in a scribble.
‘How are both her parents human‘ I thought to myself. She seemed to understand what I was thinking as she giggled a bit and looked me with a straight face.
“I’m three fourth Tarkas sir!”
“There haven’t been Tarkas on this planet long enough for that??My response seemed to be getting desperate.
“My grandfather was Tarkas, he was the Captain of the Holy Sword Carrier that assaulted Momoru fifty years ago. My grandmother was on the colonizer that was destroyed and managed to make it to the escape pod in time before the engines exploded.”
I looked at her and she looked back at me and I watched her as she turned around and left with the article that would let her graduate, and the full story of her grandmothers happening with the Tarkas.
I shut the door and made my way back to the couch that I owned. I sat on it and turned on the television to watch whatever was on I suppose. Either way I can safely say that today was. . .
‘An unexpected turn of events.. don’t you think?‘
