Gavin

           I sat in the shadows staring at Taylor. He was still unconscious from me hitting him several times with Ray’s baseball bat. It’s been almost two days since I brought him to an old, abandoned warehouse on the edge of the city, and I was growing impatient, along with my appetite. Dried blood was crusted to the back of his head, and around his nose and mouth. The scent of it made my mouth water, but I couldn’t kill him yet. I wanted him to see me first. To know what I’ve become, and that Rachel had nothing to do with it. I had him bound tightly to a chair. Each wrist was cuffed to the arms of the chair with hand cuffs, and his ankles were tied to the legs with police-grade zip ties to ensure he couldn’t break free, if he tried. I smiled when I saw him roll his head to the side and groan in pain. Slowly, he opened his eyes, confusion being the only thing plaguing him, until he realized his disposition. He struggled a little in the chair, testing the strength of his restraints.

                “Where…where am I?” He asked nervously. The only reply was the echo of his own words.  “Help! Somebody help me!” He shouted.

                “No one’s going to help you,” I said with an unnerving calm, still crouched in the shadows. I watched as he frantically searched the room for the body that came with the voice.

                “Who’s there? What do you want from me?” He shrieked in panic. He was already sweating profusely from fear.

                “Just you. You and your band of brothers almost took something from me a few nights ago, or should I say someone,” I said with a growl.
