A closer look at a Buddhist Temple in my area in Australia was revealing. I ventured to the location in a group and we saw at first instance a Monk working away with the construction of a project at the site. There is a Jade exhibition where a statue that took years to carve and came from Thailand and Vietnam, will make a stop over in Australia. Millions of followers world wide are expected to flock to the site. There has been ongoing development taking place for some time now, with a special place for the Jade statue to be erected in place.There are three monks whom reside  at the Monastery. They have language classes for children as well as a youth group. For adults there are teachings in the philosophy of Buddha and meditations relating to the doctrines. The followers contribute donations as well as belongings that are pledged their time and labour attributed to the cause. The Monks themselves begin their day early at 0500 with meditation and prayer to Buddha and this is continued throughout the day and evening. At lunchtime prayer and food is offered and at 1630 prayer and food is offered to Spirit remembering our Ancestors. The value of the Buddha to  followers and to the Dharma is a real touch of compassion between ourselves as human beings and to recognize that we are messengers of thy peace in this world. There are many instances in life where we can step in and make a difference, that is your intuition you can take advantage of that moment or not, The choice is yours.
