Terrorism is no doubt becoming another bubonic plague that is undermining peaceful co-existence in all nations of the earth. Today, there is hardly any country in the entire universe that has not tasted the bitter pills of terrorism. In Nigeria, Boko Haram is no doubt becoming greatest nightmare to all human being leaving in the Africa’s most populous nation. Today, the fear of Boko Haram is the beginning of wisdom!
It bleeds my heart each time I think of the under-utilization of the nature’s gifts to my country. Nigeria is one of the countries on the surface of the earth where nature’s blessings are in quantum. Apart from being the most populous black nation, Nigeria is blessed with both human and natural resources. With the abundance of all these resources, we are poor. In the midst of plenty we suffer, as our lives become miserable occasioned by poverty that stares us in the face.
Unfortunately, our leaders have found it extremely difficult to proffer solutions to the myriad of self-inflicted problems bedeviling us. Today, Nigeria oscillates between corrupt and focusless leadership. That is why government policies and program is propelled by greed on the part of those at the helm of affairs.
