Continuation of my short novella.
12-24-08:
Ray wakes up in the middle of the ocean, and the alien makes breakfast for them.
After a while, the alien tells Ray the rest of the story as he promised he would.
“Paul was a hybrid, part human and part alien. Paul’s mother was human; Paul’s father was an alien like us. We chose Paul because we felt he could help us–no only in conquering Earth, but also in being our diplomat to Earth sort of speak. As you can see now, Paul is dead, and we’ve changed our plans. I can’t tell you anything else at this time, but I can promise you won’t be harmed. I know you find this difficult to believe, we haven’t given you much reason to trust us–however; I personally haven’t given you any reason to distrust me either. I promise not to harm you, and in fact; I promise to keep you from harm. Just wait until we reach our final destination, and I’ll bring you safe back to shore.”
Lunch was as exciting as usual. Both Ray and the alien ate a very satisfying meal, although Ray was getting tired of seafood.
The alien assured Ray that they would in fact reach their final destination, at around midnight of the 25th day.
They ate dinner at 10:00 PM, which was later than usual. Ray didn’t like to eat so late because it would upset his stomach, but he was so excited that he didn’t mind. Ray also had a feeling that Earth would be safe, and he felt comfortable enough with the alien to even call him a friend. Although Ray realized that as a result of this alien invasion, more than 2-billion people had perished.
They went to sleep at 11:00 AM that night. The sub/spaceship would navigate itself to the destination….
