Slam! you awake to realize that door was shut behind you

You’re in a room the size of half a basketball court with one net

looking around you see your best friend in the corner of the room terrified

Next a man with a clipboard comes in…with an expression that makes him look as if every bit of happiness has been taken away from him.

He looks at his clipboard and announces what he says to be “the rules”

“You two are to decide amongst yourselves who has the better 3pt shot. The one decided is to shoot three times and make his/her shot three times. If he/she fails…then both of you and your families will die…you have ten minutes”
-he leaves

You have no idea how this had all happened…the last thing u remember is sitting at home watching TV…

You look up to see the timer counting down from 10:00min.

Quickly you and your friend meet to discuss who has the better shot…it is decided you are the one who must take the challenge. u agree to take five minutes to discuss proper form and technique to achieve the 3pt shot.

Five minutes pass…

You’re friend wishes u luck with a tear coming down his face and runs over to pass u the ball from under the basket.

…With the ball you are terrified…U have no idea whether this is a cruel joke or as real as the man with the clipboard had said…knees trembling…you take the shot…the ball rolls over the rim and into the basket.

thats one…two to go

Your friend gets the rebound and anxiously tosses u the ball looking at the clock now at 3:35

Now sweating…You bend your legs and prepare yourself for the next shot…after a deep breathe you shoot…the ball goes directly in.

that’s two…one to go

Again your friend gets the rebound…nearly stumbling over himself and tosses u the ball…again he looks at the clock..now at 1:20

u wipe the sweat from around your eyes with your sleeve…looking at the basket you bounce the ball…once…then twice. You shoot…
……The ball hits the lefts side of the rim…then bounces to the right…dangling still on the right…it slowly eases itself into the net…

You have passed the challenge.

Your friend runs over to u to congratulate you…when suddenly…

The man with the clipboard returns…He announces…”congratulations on passing the challenge. You are free to go…However…There are 17 other families in this building who have failed there tests…if you wish you may take the 3pt shot a fourth time…if you make it they will all be spared and sent home, but if you don’t…You and your families will die along with the other 17.”

-He leaves

You realize that he had not left a time a limit for this last shot…

17 families lives could be saved…

If you miss you all will die…

Every muscle in your body is aching…trembling…shaking…

Your mind is clouded…
