A childrens story about a snowflake that falls in love with an acorn.

Once there was a snowflake that lived up in the sky.

It was a lonely snowflake, waiting to fall to earth, then as the warmth came along, die.

It was the first snow of the Winter, the leaves hadn’t yet fallen completely off the trees.

The hero of our story the little snowflake, fell and blew in the breeze.

While an Acorn laid along a birds nest in the branches.

The snowflake caught within the tree, next to the acorn.

Though no words were spoken, since they didn’t know how to speak with words.
There was something in them so magnificent that together they could communicate with feelings.

They stayed there on the branches through the Winter, and the acorn got an idea,

Perhaps if the acorn and the snowflake found a nice cool place, then they could live forever.

Though how to get down from the branch wasn’t an easy feat. The acorn had to sneakily lure a squirrel to it.
The snowflake grabbed on to the squirrels tail and the squirrel climbed slowly down the tree, munching on the acorn as it yelped in pain, silently.

The squirrel of course continued munching and now the acorn had finally been let go, but it had large scars.

The sun began to come up, and the snowflake believed this would be it’s doom, but the wind started blowing and the snowflake grabbed the acorn, as the breeze picked up and they were in the air, gliding for weeks, shimmering into places unknown, and finally they ended up in a very snowy place alas.

“Welcome to Alaska” a sign read, and the snowflake knew that they were home.

The acorn and the snowflake lived a wonderful life together, and just as the acorn thought they could live forever in the cold air here.

The snowflake shimmering, perched itself against the acorn, as the acorn fell asleep.
