An entertaining childrens story.
Hi there I’m Amelia, what’s your name? Well you can tell me your name later because right now I am in BIG trouble. Little seven year old Amelia Sheikh hurried into her bedroom pushing back her short brown hair and almost catching her favourite little pink dress in the door as she quickly closed it shut.
“AMELIAAA!!” shouted an angry Mrs Sheikh from downstairs in the living room. “What have you done to Salma’s hair! “Mum I decided to give Salma a new hairdo as she always complains about her hair so I thought I would give her a new hair cut”. “Aaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaah cried Salma whose hair looked like it had been through a bush and back. “Well Amelia you better wait in your room now as all the guests will be arriving soon for dinner and I have to sort out Salma’s hair”. Amelia went to get ready in her room whilst she waited for the guests to arrive.
‘Hi there again now I can finally talk to you properly. My name’s Amelia Sheikh and I live in the small town called hillside. My mum is always busy looking for my dad’s socks and my dad is always busy shouting “Where’s my socks?”.
‘ I have a nine year old sister called Salma and a ten year old brother called Adam but it’s always me who gets blamed for all the weird things that go wrong in our house. Yes I did give my sister a new hair cut but I thought it was nice and yes I did make my mummy angry because I refused to open the door to the aliens, who were ringing the bell and standing outside our house. Mum said it was just Aunty Naina’s family at the door, but I know they were really aliens because of the big eyes and the big green dress that the mother alien was wearing and the fact that they came in the mother ship but mum said it was just their car but I know the truth! Today the aliens are coming again to our house this time for dinner and I am told to be on my best behaviour but today they will be exposed!
“Where’s my socks?” shouted Mr Sheikh from the next room. Mrs Sheikh hurried into the next room with a pair of stripy blue socks in her hand. “Amelia you better start getting ready soon as Aunty Naina will be coming now and this time please don’t pull any pranks on them”. Amelia nodded her head and smiled whilst she admired her pretty favourite pink dress which her mum bought her for Eid. “SALMA…ADAM…quickly get ready and come downstairs”. Salma and Adam came running down the stairs eager to eat the big feast that their mum had prepared. Ding dong…. ‘Oh no the aliens are here I have to think fast otherwise they might try to make us go in their mother ship like last time’. Amelia slowly peered through to the hallway and saw Aunty Naina, Uncle Tariq and their two little boys Omar and Salman standing at the door. “Come in, come in, nice to see you all here you all must be hungry” said a very anxious Mrs Sheikh. Mrs Sheikh was always nervous when it came to holding family dinners only because she knew that something would always go wrong. Last time when the Tariq family came to dinner a sudden explosion came from underneath the table in the form of a stink bomb and Aunty Naina sat on a water balloon. Now who would have made these wrong turn of events happen well of course it couldn’t be Amelia as she was too good (well at least that’s what the Tariq family thought).
