The Great Wall

They stayed in the Hotel Paragon. It was the biggest room in the hotel.

“Sam, have you ever come to China before this?” Lily asked.

“Yes, we are now in Beijing,” Sam said.

“What can we see over here?” Lucy asked

“Ummmmmm…we can zoos, amusement parks, gardens, and of course the best monument of China, ‘The Great Wall of China’,” Sam replied.

“Let us go to the Great Wall of China,” Lily said in a jolly voice.

“Ya! Ya, Ya!” Lucy said in a kind of excited voice.

“Guys, Guys. Cool down both of you.”Sam said

Lily and Lucy became quiet.

“I’m waiting outside. Come out in 5 minutes.”Sam said. Sam went outside.

Lily and Lucy changed their clothes. Lily took Rosie and kept a neat blanket in the basket that if Rosie feels sleepy she can sleep in comfort. Lily and Lucy came outside.

“Are you both ready?”Sam asked

“Ready forever.” Lily and Lucy replied.

They exited the hotel they took a taxi.

“Where do you want to go?”the driver asked.

“The Great Wall.” Sam replied

They reached the Great Wall in half an hour.

“How much?”Sam asked.

“20 Yuan,” the driver replied.

Sam took out his wallet and gave the driver, 2 notes of 10 Yuan each. Then they got out of the taxi.

“So big!” Lily exclaimed.

“The Great Wall of China is currently one of the seven wonders. It is the second wonder. Now we have to climb the wall. Ladies first,” Sam said.

Lily and Lucy smiled and went forward. Sam followed them. Lily liked some caps in a nearby shop.

“How much is this one?” Lily asked.

The shopkeeper replied, “6 Yuan.”

Lily paid the shopkeeper and took the cap. The front part of the cap was red while the cap was black at the back. On the cap, some words were written in white. It was written, “Great Wall.”

Lily wore the cap and came besides Lucy.

“Cool cap, Lily,” Lucy said.

“Thanks,” Lily said.

Suddenly from a hot and pleasant weather, black clouds came over the Sun. It began to rain cats and dogs.

“Lucy and Lily come over here. We better buy some umbrellas and raincoats before we continue our journey,” Sam told them.

Lily and Lucy came running because they didn’t want to get wet.

“Excuse me, but how much would three umbrellas and three raincoats cost?” Sam asked.

“54 Yuan,” the shopkeeper replied.

Sam quickly gave the money. The raincoats were red and the umbrellas were black. They all wore the raincoats and opened the umbrellas after taking them.

“Lily, we better not continue because of the rain we are unable to see. Let’s go back to the hotel,” Sam coughed and said.

“Ok!” Lily replied.

All of them began to descend. They took another taxi and came back to the hotel. Lily took a towel and wiped her hair. Suddenly, she stopped wiping her hair.

“Sam, can we please go to the best garden in Beijing?” Lily asked.

“Ok. How about tomorrow?” Sam asked.

“Ok!” Lily replied.

They all ate dinner and went to sleep. The next day they ate breakfast and left for the garden. The garden’s name was “Blossom Garden”. They saw, Lotus in a pond, Roses in a shape of a heart, Sunflowers, Asters and Morning Glories were made in the shape of a mermaid. Lily sat on a bench.

“What happened, Lily? Why did you sit down? Want to see more flowers?” Lucy asked.

“I just want to go home,” Lily said.
