Luke Storm’s quest for revenge leads to the destruction of two civilizations.

Luke
entered General Morgham’s office, saluted him, and promptly took his seat. “Sergeant
Luke Storm, you are my best hunter sir. I have a very important mission I am
sending you on,” General Morgham declared. “General Morgham sir, I am proudly
at your service,” Sergeant Storm replied. “Good, you will undergo briefing and
official assignment at 0500 hours. You are dismissed Sergeant,” the general
proclaimed. Sergeant Storm rose from his seat, saluted the general, and
promptly marched out of his office.

As Luke began his walk through the Sector 9 corridor, he
wondered to himself what could be such a pressing matter. He and the rest of
the Alpha Squadron had eliminated all but a small portion of the Koros forces
that infiltrated Balgonia. The Alpha Squadron was an elite military force consisting
of soldiers appropriately called hunters. Their mission was always to hunt the
most powerful forces of Koros and eliminate them. They were also extremely
proficient at fulfilling these duties.

At 0500 hours, Sergeant Luke Storm entered the briefing
room of Sector 9. As he entered the room he noticed that strangely only General
Morgham was present. “Sergeant Storm, take a seat sir,” the general demanded.
“At approximately 0800 hours you will be deployed on a mission that requires
your utmost discretion. You will oversee a specialized group of robotic
prototypes named MP91s. You are to infiltrate the Koros camp near Negalia and
eliminate all Koros forces that are present. Upon completing this mission you
are to report back to Sector 9 with a mission efficiency report. This file will
provide you the details of how to complete this report and other confidential
information,” the general stated. Then he handed Luke the file as the two
saluted each other and he proceeded to exit the briefing room.

Luke immediately opened and quickly reviewed the file the
general handed him. As he reviewed the file Luke quickly realized he was
potentially in a bad situation. He was not to engage the Koros forces. Instead
he was to observe the MP91 prototypes’ performances. He was worried about the
possible malfunction of the prototypes and the potential for him to be trapped
behind enemy lines. However, it was his appointed duty to carry out orders or,
face charges and possibly a firing squad. After thoroughly reviewing the file
Luke returned to his cabin to pack his equipment and prepare for the mission at
hand.

At 0755 hours Luke reported to the launch site. There
before him stood the eight robot prototypes and General Morgham. They were
massive and had no visible weapons on them. Luke couldn’t help himself. He
looked over at General Morgham and asked, “Are you kidding me? They have no weapons.”
The general smirked and confidently replied, “These soldiers are equipped with
the finest weapons money can buy. They are the future of our military. No more
lives will be lost once our production campaign is complete. If this mission is
a success we will sit comfortably in our designated sectors and only be tasked
with producing MP91 robots.” “Sounds interesting, let’s hope this mission is a
success,” Luke replied.

Luke spent so much time fighting Koros forces and seeing
his peers fall to the wayside, the sheer thought of the general’s implications
gave him hope for the future. If what the general said was true, there would no
longer be a need for valuable lives to be taken. With that in mind, Luke
ordered the MP91s to board the Land Stalker 636 vessel. The Land Stalker 636
was a cream of the crop hovercraft during that time and made out of extremely
light bullet-proof steel. It was also the fastest of all Balgonia’s military
ground vessels.

With
all eight MP91s aboard Luke saluted the general, climbed into the vessel, and
took his place in the driver’s seat. He fired up the thrusters and with a
resounding roar they took off. They were headed toward Negalia where a small
but efficient Koros force was said to be stationed. It would take approximately
four hours to reach their destination and engage the Koros forces. Luke
proceeded to program the craft, setting a direct course one mile east of the
Negalia encampment.

At
1200 hours Sergeant Storm and the MP91s reached their destination. Luke ordered
the robots to offload immediately. Before Luke could issue any orders to the
MP91s they charged toward the camp. Luke immediately thought to himself, “Hey,
I like their style.” Luke set up an observation area beside the Land Stalker
where he had all the audio and visual equipment he needed to observe the MP91s
in action.

The
MP91s reached the camp shortly after Luke finished setting up his observation
area. Immediately when the Koros forces came into range the MP91s deployed
their weapons. “Holy crap, where did those weapons come from,” Luke asked
himself. The robots were equipped with hidden laser cannons that seemed to
annihilate everything in their paths. Luke was absolutely amazed at the
efficiency in which the MP91s began destroying the Koros forces. He watched in
astonishment as Koros body parts flew into the sky. Explosions were occurring
everywhere. Buildings were collapsing every couple seconds. Luke was extremely
impressed with robots abilities and excited about the future possibilities.
Then the most disturbing thing Luke could imagine happened. While observing the
carnage that was taking place in front him he noticed the arm of a Koros child
flying through the air.

Luke immediately dropped his observation equipment and
began running toward the encampment screaming, “No, No, No, I order you to
cease at once.” The MP91s disregarded the sergeant’s orders. Not knowing what
else to do Luke turned around and ran back towards the Land Stalker. Upon
arriving at the Land Stalker he quickly grabbed his communicator. “Sector 9
this is Sergeant Luke Storm. I need to speak to General Morgham on a private link
immediately,” he franticly stated. “Storm, this is General Morgham, go ahead
with your message,” the general answered. “General Morgham sir, I think there
has been a grave mistake sir,” Luke replied.

“Well sergeant, what mistake is that,” the general asked
curiously. “Sir, I think we are attacking the wrong Koros camp sir,” Luke
nervously replied. The general replied by laughing into the communicator and
saying, “Son, that is impossible. We did the intelligence and you are in the
right place.” “But sir, there are women and children in this camp. It is
against procedure to kill innocents and the MP91s are killing them with blatant
disregard for procedure.” Luke urgently replied. “Sergeant there has been no
mistake. MP91s are programmed to eliminate any and all Koros citizens present.”

“Well,
with all due respect sir, I didn’t join the Balgonian military to kill innocent
beings. Consider yourself warned. I will eliminate the MP91 prototypes and
return to Sector 9 to resign from my post.” “Sergeant Storm, you are in direct
violation of Balgonian military law. You will be considered an enemy and hunted
by the Alpha Squadron for your disregard of a direct order,” the general
angrily replied. “Bring it on,” the now enraged Sergeant Storm replied. “Storm,
we will show no mercy and you will be hunted until we kill you,” the general
screamed. However, it was too late. Luke already fired up the Land Stalker and
headed toward the Koros camp.

Luke
drove as quickly as possible into the Koros camp and began to fire the Land
Stalker’s cannons at the first MP91 he saw. The blasts from the cannon sent
sparks flying and the robots parts scattered across the ground. Luke tracked
down all the MP91 prototypes and destroyed them all. He was determined to
destroy these fiendish mechanisms before they caused a more volatile situation
between Balgonia and Koros.  He left
nothing but parts of the eight robots strung across the vast landscape of the
camp.

Luke
felt relieved that he succeeded in destroying the MP91s but, he was left with
nowhere to go. He couldn’t stick around the Koros camp. If he stuck around he
would surely be attacked by any Koros soldier who stumbled into the encampment.
Luke decided that he would return to Sector 9 and face his newly revealed foes
head on. He was determined to destroy the very military and establishment that
he so valiantly served before this fiasco. Specifically, Luke wanted to hunt
down and destroy General Morgham. Luke urgently reprogrammed the Land Stalker
636 to lead him directly into Sector 9.

After
four long hours of charging rapidly toward Sector 9 Luke blasted through the
gates and immediately opened fire on the Sector 9 base. The cannon took out the
communications tower with one accurately placed blast. Balgonian soldiers were
being splattered to bits with every shot. Luke felt more confident he was going
to destroy Sector 9 with every blast. Then suddenly he felt two massive hands
grip the back of his neck. He was lifted right out of the driver’s seat and
sent violently crashing to the floor. “Sergeant Luke Storm, you’re under arrest
by the authority of the Balgonian military,” a strong voice proclaimed.

At
Luke’s trial he was found guilty of war crimes punishable by death. During the
trial Luke vowed that one way or another he would get revenge and kill General
Morgham. Needless to say, Luke met his untimely demise shortly after his trial.
The firing squad made sure nothing was left of the former sergeant’s body. One
soldier picked up an eye belonging to the once well respected Storm and saved
it as a souvenir. It was placed on display in General Morgham’s office shortly
after that. It serves as a reminder to all who dare oppose the authority of the
Balogonian military to think twice before doing so.

The
MP91 program was officially launched six months after Luke’s execution. The
program has been in effect for over a hundred years. Balgonia was never a more
peaceful place to live before the program began. In the year 3012 the Balgonian
military destroyed the remaining Koros military forces that infiltrated
Balgonia during that time. The Balgonian military and Koros people were placed
under the rule of General Morgham, who mainly oversaw the production of MP91
robotic soldiers. The only change that was implemented in the MP91 program was a
new identification chip placed into the MP91s. It caused the robots to cease
fire on any woman, child, or any otherwise innocent being. Ultimately, Luke’s
sacrifice led to a safer existence for innocents and a slightly more humane
military establishment.

Although,
Luke Storm is viewed as a traitor to the Balgonian force, he is revered as a
hero among the Koros people. He was solely responsible for the Koros being’s
existence. Without his actions and extremely brave sacrifice they would have
been eliminated completely. Sergeant Luke Storm will go down in history as the
greatest ambassador for Koros rights ever, despite the countless Koros lives he
has taken in the past. It was in the honor of Sergeant Luke Storm that the
Koros nation formed the Koros Storm Rebellion or KSR as they liked to call it.
The MP91s no longer took their lives but, they lived under the extreme
oppression of the Balgonian military. The KSR was secretly planning a
full-force assault on Balgonia and were determined to free their people from
the Balgonian’s alleged tyranny once and for all. The KSR also completed
building a monument in honor of Sergeant Storm in 3016.

It
was the KSR’s rebellious nature toward Balgonia that ultimately led to their
destruction. On June 5, 3020 they launched a complete assault on Sector 9,
which was the headquarters for the Balgonian military by that time. General
Morgham swiftly retaliated to the assault with an all-out attack on all of
Koros, including an assault on what were formerly known as innocents. The MP91
program was revamped and implemented a new directive. The MP91 military force
was to eliminate all life on Koros as punishment for the previous KSR assault
on Balgonia.

By
the year 3025 there was no living being left on Koros. Also, the planet itself
was scheduled to be destroyed on the one year anniversary of the Balgonian
victory. With the stage set for Balgonia to celebrate the victory over Koros,
General Morgham and the Balgonian people unveiled the MP92 device. The MP92
device was said to be largest laser cannon ever built. It was alleged that the
cannon could destroy multiple planets with the single touch of a button.
However, this was not the event that occurred on June 5, 3026.

What
happened that day was a defining moment in the history of the universe. General
Morgham ordered an assembly to take place in Negalia, where his war with Storm
began. It was there that he would push the button that destroyed the Balgonian
race and the planet Balgonia. What the general didn’t realize is that the monument
placed on Koros, in honor of Sergeant Storm, was an extremely powerful weapon,
a shield of sorts. The KSR feared that the general might one day attempt to
completely eradicate the Koros planet. So, they cunningly included in an
alternative plan to their overall goal.

Should
such an occurrence take place the Sergeant Luke Storm Monument would redirect
the attack, destroying Balgonia and all the planet’s inhabitants. That is
indeed what happened that day as General Morgham pressed the button activating
the MP92. The shot was immediately redirected upon impact and demolished
Balgonia entirely. Unfortunately, the blast had so much force that it
simultaneously left Koros reduced to a cloud of dust. Despite the untimely
death of Sergeant Storm, the Koros people fulfilled his wish to rid the world
of General Morgham and the Balgonian tyranny.
