A story of the origins of life, and pigs.
The New Beginning
Three weeks later after the pigs dinner party with the neighboring farms, Napoleon and the rest of the pigs were fast asleep on their beds in the farm house while all the other animals were fast asleep in the barn. Suddenly, there was cries of fear and pain coming from the farm house. The animals came out of the barn in curiosity of what was going on and the farm house was on fire. The pigs then began to try to open the doors but the were all locked and then were beating on the doors with crys coming from the pigs yelling “Open the door! Let me out!” The animals stood there in shock and one of the horses said “lets help them”. Benjamin quickly responded “They don’t deserve our help with what they have done to us.” The animals stood there watching the house burn down and not a single pig survived that night.
The next mourning the animals did their usual routine for Sunday morning and they all gathered around the animal farm flag. There Benjamin and clover had set up a small stage and Benjamin announced “With the death of pigs we are without a leader. So now to find our new leader we will have a election.” The animals looked around in confusion and some of them asked what is a election. Benjamin had to explain what a election is and he asked for any volunteers to be a candidate. No one volunteered then finally a sheep named Hanz volunteered to run for leader. Benjamin then asked for another candidate, and finally Muriel volunteered.
Benjamin declared that the election would be held next Sunday and that each candidate had a week to campaign for the position of leader. Each candidate had a different form of campaigning. Muriel used persuasion to get her votes and Hanz was promising larger food rations and less work. However, the animals did not buy what Hanz was saying. They though that his promises could not be full filled and were to unrealistic.
Sunday finally came and most of the animals were set on who they were going to vote for. Benjamin had set it up were before all the animals could vote the two candidates would answer questions and try to persuade the animals one last time. Muriel claimed that with her as leader the decisions would be in the hands of the animals and the seven commandments would not be changed at all. Hanz still claimed that the animals would have less work and more food. The animals were still not convinced and the time to vote finally came.
All the animals came in and out of the voting booth and after everyone had voted, Benjamin had counted all the votes and announced that Muriel had won the election. Hanz didn’t take it well and all the sheep started to chant “Hanz leader! Hanz leader!” The animals stood in shock then Clover let out a shriek of fear and all the animals looked over and Muriel was dead. Hanz then said with a firm voice “I am now the leader.”
