This is only an excerpt of a book that I’m writing. It is taking some time, but at least I have the main ideas in my head!

The Story Begins

A short, sick looking girl stumbled around in a forest. She whispered to herself,”Must find shelter,” over and over again. Though she was sick, she didn’t look the least bit scared. The girl spotted a small gap through the trees ahead. She hurriedly went through it, stumbling as she did.

“Wow,” the girl said in a hushed voice. In front of her, was what looked like a small kingdom. The kingdom looked pretty busy, even the children were working. The girl ran to an old looking lady and asked her,”Can you please help me ma’am, I’m very sick now.” The girl waited for a few seconds, with no answer coming from the lady. The girl dashed off to someone else, this time a young man. Still no answer.

“What am I to do?” the girl moaned.” I just have to find someone who would care to listen,” she said in a determined voice. Maybe I should go to the king of this place, she thought to herself. She quickly found the grandest building, and hurried inside.”Wow,” she whispered again, for what met her gaze was spectacular. Servants were running here and there, tapestries and portraits hung on the wall, and at the center, was a grand throne, with a gold trim and emeralds on it, and a somewhat smaller, less grand throne beside it.

On the bigger and better throne sat a man with a black goatee. He had green eyes that immediately reminded you of life somehow. On his head was a crown that matched the throne that he was sitting on. The girl stepped up and bowed before him, and then started to speak,”Can y-.”

“Who are you and what is your business here?” the king interrupted

“Majesty, my name is Hawwa, and I am in the need of assistance.”

“What kind of assistance do you seek?” the king asked.

Hawwa hesitated, then said,”I need a safe place to give birth.” At this, the king’s expression softened.
