A LIFE STORY.

Tom heard until the end, and when he had finished his story, told with great simplicity:

-First of all, my friend, there are two things that would need to know.

– What? asked Tom.

-First, the name of the lieutenant who led the line of prisoners.

– What next?

And after what city in Scotland came the wretch who is now buried in the Pembleton family vault, under the name of Lord William.

You’re right, Tom said.

The former butler had many relationships in London.

Among people of all classes, knew a famous Scotland Yard detective who is telling the Prefecture of Police of London, had always relied more delicate orders.

Tom went to see him, and under the largest reserve confided the secret of the existence of Lord William.

And therein lay the secret, gave him a ticket in hand three hundred pounds.
