I’m a 9th grade student and I’m looking forward to write a suspense story. However, my writing ability is not good enough. Please ignore the spellings and somethings you don’t understand. This is my first short suspense and I divided into parts because I was too tired finishing my homework. Brb.

Charles quickly moved through the bushes when he heard a crack in the bush near him. He aimed the M38 rifle at the object he was seeing through the bushes.

‘ it’s a big one’ Charles thought.

He held his breath and obseved the bushes. Then, he shot. The bullet penetrated through the thick plants and hit the target. There was a short screech and the target dropped to the ground. Alfred walked to the bush after Charles lowered his rifle.

“Nice shot, mate. it’s a huge one.” Alfred commented.

Charles asked, “Moose, right?”

“Yea, hunter’s extict, aye?” Alfred said, “I have hunted for the whole day and caught only a grass-eating-hare or two…”

Charles chuckled and dragged the moose to the cart. It was a fine morning in the forest of South Dakoda. Mr. Widson had invited countless hunters around the world when the hunting season began. Almost all of the famous hunters were here to hunt hares, deers ,mooses, and other animals. They wanted their flesh and fur, but most of all they wanted the animals’ heads, for their bedroom walls seemed too empty.

Mr. Widson was a millionaire, or should he be called billionaire. He was an extremely rich guy with a private cottages all around the world, and he has the ownership of the huge mansion which is located deeper in the forest. All of the forest was his, too. However, there was something strange about him. He looked normal at the outside, but there was really something like cruelty and viciousness in his eyes and it looked like he hungered for a blood. But, that was only Charles’s theory and was only visible to Charles. Others rejected he’s idea. But, Charles sensed something strange about Mr. Widson.

The rule of the Hunting Competition in South Dakoda was pretty simple. The hunters were to build their tent somewhere in the forests and move around hunting animals and then whoever hunting the most animals wins. The forest was very wide. And, even though the expert hunters all around the world came, Charles sensed no one near him except for his hunting pal, Alfred.

“Let’s catch one more animal and get back to tent” Charles said, “it’s getting dark”

“oki, mate”Alfred responded.

As they walked aimlessly through the wood, they realized that there was a blood trail not far away from where they were walking. The two hunters walked over to the blood to observe the blood trail.

“Someone caught a real big hare!” Alfred said with a laugh.

Charles ignored Alfred and observed the blood trail. It was strange. It smelled different from the animal’s pure blood. Charles moved his nose closer to the blood and smelled it with more precision. Then, Charles moved his eyebrow quickly and his cold face became fearful.

“What’s wrong mate?” Alfred asked Charles with a laugh.

It was a human blood.
