This is about the life in urbans and cities. When do urban people say," I regret to live in urban" or when do they say, "it’s great to be in the city".
When I was young, I dream to be in a city. I dream to be a part of the community. I hear every people saying how great is the the night life, how great is the fun. Big buildings, fantastic disco bars, fabulous technology and great job opportunities. It’s something the real life I imagined, everybody imagined.
December 6, 2005, there was a nursing student who was raped by a taxi driver and considering all the rape cases in my city. Everyday I see people stealing things on every opportunity they have from these innocent people walking around. I see beggars, rain or shine, they stay on side walks with open palms. I always see street food and vegetable and fruit vendors running and running because the patrol is coming. I see gangsters around trying to kill people they like to kill. I see minor girls dancing naked in front of these trashy men. I hear news that a 9-month newborn was innocently and lovely sleeping on a bed of garbage in the trashcan. I see people eating from mountain of leftovers in the trash bin. Now, where was the happy city I loved to see?
I dream to see the lights in the city, but how broken hearted I am to see this dark life of people around. I don’t know if I would still wish to wake up in the morning and see the glimpse of these unwanted reality in the city. It is happy to be in the city, but the darkness and cries of every life outweighs the dying happiness in the city..
