THE DEAD WALK 

Chapter 1

I was working at hollow wood funeral home. I went all day with having no calls. Then around five o’clock I received a call from the hospital that they had a corpse that needed to be picked up. On my way to the hospital I passed old man Miller. He was walking down the road. So I stopped the car and yelled to him but he did not answer.

 That is when I realized the back of his clothes were cut. Then I remembered he passed away last week. That is when I drove the Hurst as fast as it would go to the hospital. When I arrived at the hospital I meant the doctor that called me about the corpse. I asked the doctor where is the body he said we took it to the morgue.

On the way to the morgue I asked the doctor if he remembered old man Miller. Then he said yeah he pasted a couple week back. Then I told the doc that he was walking down the road. Before the doctor could comment, the elevator door opened and the under taker was dead and the body I came to pick up was gone. When the doctor and I approached the under taker so the doc could pronounce the time of death he opened his eyes and grabbed me and tried to bite me. At that second I heard a gun shot. It was the sheriff he shot the under taker in the head. Then the sheriff told the doctor to go upstairs they needed him because there are a lot of people coming in to the hospital. Then I told the sheriff on my way here I saw old man Miller walking down the street, then the sheriff said I know seen him to I shot him because he tried to bite me.

Then I asked him what is happening. That is when my phone rang it was Devon the guy who owns Twomley funeral home in Bass County. When I answered the phone… He said I have been bitten by this girl I was in embalming. Then he said if you our in the funeral home leave because there coming to life.

That is when I told the sheriff I am going upstairs. Then he looked at me and said be careful and he gave me his shot gun. When I got in the elevator right when the door shut I heard a gun shot. When I found the doctor I told him that the dead our rising back to life. That is when I told him that we our going to have to make some choices. Then he asked, what are you talking about choices. Then I said people in the hospital that our critical and that our not going to make it we have to get out of here.

Then I heard Nurse Heidi yell get over here. When I got over to see what she needed the guy she was working on grabbed her and bit her. I yelled for the doc he came over and then I asked him were would I find the blueprints for the hospital. He said the place was built during world war one. There probably are long gone. Then I told the Doctor that Nurse Heidi was bitten. Then I said she will become one of the dead walking soon.
