This is a story about a deer and a truck driver ,I know your thinking a deer and a truck driver?how does the two fit together,well I will tell you.They say it happened about three years ago a truck driver named Tom was driving his big rig down a long dark road,it was the first time Tom had taken that road he was looking for a short cut because he wanted to hurry and get home it had been a long trip and Tom was tired.As Tom was going down the road he spotted a dear sitting in the middle of the road.he didn’t want to hit the deer so he stopped and got out of the truck,Tom thought he could scare the deer away but no matter what Tom did the deer would not move.This is strange Tom thought too him self ,usually deers run away from people maybe this one is hurt,but the deer did not look hurt the whole time it just stared at Tom.Tom got back in his truck and thought about going around it but the road was so narrow and there was no way.Tom just sat in his truck waiting and confused about why the deer would not move,Tom even honked his horn still the deer stayed.About an hour had passed and Tom was getting tired so he closed his eyes to sleep just then Tom was woke up by the sound of a highway parole officer knocking on his window,why are you sitting in the middle of the road?Tom explained that a deer was sitting in the middle of the road and he could not move,what deer asked the highway parole officer ?that deer said Tom ,where did it go?it was right there said Tom.The deer was gone ,well its a good thing the deer was in the road,why is that asked tom,well up the road was a five car pile up it killed four people ,what time did this happen asked Tom ?oh about ten o’clock last night.that’s weird thats was about the time I had to stop for the deer Tom told the highway patrol officer.the deer probley saved yourlife ,Tom could not believe it how could a deer know what was going to happen,Do you want to know the really weird part said the highway patrol officer it was a deer that caused the wreck .Tom has never forgotten the deer or that road and probley never will.
