A wife finds a way to catch her husband’s eye by the strategic placement of a gem.

She dropped a diamond down her cleavage

Where she knew my eye would go.

Then when I’ve spotted that bright jewel,

She’ll know, I know, she knows.

She dropped a diamond down her cleavage,

There between her swelling breasts.

Then she leaned slightly forward,

And the Good Lord did the rest.

She dropped a diamond down her cleavage,

And I quite forgot to breathe.

I think I know how Adam felt

When he first saw Eve.

She dropped a diamond down her cleavage,

Right where my interest lies.

Then she smiled up like an angel

At the sparkle in my eyes.

There’s something hard and something soft,

Something saved and something lost.

There’s something right and something rare

When a woman wants her man to stare.

She dropped a diamond down her cleavage,

A tiny chill and thrill.

I’ve glanced at it a dozen times,

But I keep looking still.

She dropped a diamond down the cleavage

Of her low-cut party dress.

Then she leaned slightly forward,

And the Good Lord did the rest.

She dropped a diamond down the cleavage

Of her crimson party dress.

Then she leaned slightly forward,

And the Good Lord did the rest.

I am a Christian pastor. I am also a frank admirer of the female form, particularly my wife’s. Woman is God’s final and finest act of Creation. One reason I like the Bible so well is that is is not nearly so prudish about sex as most contemporary Christian churches. Hebrew scholars claim the first word out of the mouth of Adam when he caught sight of the freshly God-sculpted curves of Eve should rightly be translated, “Wow!”

In speaking of the physical attractions of one’s lawfully-wedded wife, Solomon wrote:

“A loving doe, a graceful deer–

may her breasts satisfy you always,

may you be ever captivated by her love.”

                                                                    Proverbs 5:19 NIV

That’s one command I’ll be glad to obey.

    Change
Then she smiled up like and angel
    To
Then she smiled up like an angel
    For perfection. Did I help?
    Remembering her . . .
