The thoughts, comments and ramblings of a Springer Spaniel/Lab mix named Shadow Prince. Check back daily to see what the dog has to say.

Hey Everybody!
First of all, I want to thank you for checking me out. I hope to keep this interesting enough that you will want to come back. I’m new at this so please be patient with me as I work out any quirks or bugs along the way.
The first thing I need to do is find a more current picture of me. I am actually an adult. I want you to have some idea of what I look like but all I could find on my human’s computer is my puppy pictures. Everyone says this is the cutest picture ever taken of me so I’ll use it for now. Speaking of using things, if you haven’t already guessed, I’m using my human’s computer. Don’t worry. She is okay with it. In fact, she is pretty much okay with anything my feline sisters and I do. Yes, I am not only the youngest and the only boy but my siblings are cats. How much worse can it get!
Actually, I know how much worse it can get. I thank The Great Wolf everyday for all he has given me. You see, my mother was rescued from a puppy mill while she was pregnant with my brothers and me. There were three of us in the litter. We were all fortunate enough to be adopted by some of the very best humans on the planet. I know this is true because the rescue service has an annual reunion picnic so we can all get together. I see my mother, my brothers, and their humans. This is the second year we attended. We are all doing great.
The first year we all had so much to catch up on. We all had moved into our forever homes and got out forever names. My mother was so happy and proud of us. We were proud of her, too. She looked so beautiful. She was so excited that for the first time in her life she had a name. She had been called various things in her life but never actually had a name. Her humans named her Damaris. She just kept saying over and over. ” I have a name! Can you believe it? I have a name!” This past year there was not as much to talk about. For me, the best part was seeing the look of peace in my mother’s eyes that was not there before.
