A story.
I crept along the empty corridor. The smell of dust littered the air. “ACHOO!” My voice echoed and bounced off the walls. A moth fluttered across my face, it was the least of my worries. Living was the problem. I can see the light seeping under a door ahead. There’s no turning back now. My old sneakers make loud noises on the floor. I hear the sound of an ambulance in the distance; the sound of civilization. My heart began to try and jump out of my chest. I think it might explode. I am almost at the door. I can’t stop thinking about my parents, far away in bed. There it is… the door. My hand slowly rises to the door. It feels like one of those horror movies that make you want to scream. My hand is still going to the door. Easy does it. I slowly twist the door. It is old with rust. I slowly twist the door open and then… I open my eyes. Mum and Dad are staring at me through the dark. “Opps?” I say, “Maybe it was just a bad dream. But it was so real….”
