The Dreamer

Photographs can tell a story, and we can put our own interpretation on it, simply by looking at the expression on the face of the subject.  This lady has her hand resting against the side of her cheek. She looks very pensive, and in a world of her own.

Her age could be anywhere between  17 and 30, her hair is dark and styled in the fashion of the 1930s, and there is a poignancy about her pose, which makes you want to share in her thoughts , hopes, and dreams.

She is young and attractive, with her whole life ahead of her. She will probably marry, her husband will be a handsome man, and  they will have a family. Maybe she is dreaming about her beau, has she met him yet, or is that a pleasure to come?

Fast forward  74 years. This lady has had a long and happy life. She married the love of her life, and had 2 sons. She has a 21 year old granddaughter, her one and only grand child.  This  photograph is a reminder of the young girl she was, it was an idyllic time in her life. Our youth soon passes, but our experience of life goes on as each day passes, we learn so much from every day living and loving. With maturity,

comes contentment, we have memories stored which will  last for all time. God bless her, and keep her safe in our hearts forever.
