Davina, a Londoner, left her home for greener pastures in Edinburgh. She found her man but her greed brought her downfall. Rosaline became Davina’s only salvation in the end as she she dedicated a very touching poem to her daughter.

Date: 28th February 1990

Dear Davina,

It has come to a point whereby we can no longer live together. You shall have our daughter, Rosaline and the house at No. 19, Gilford Street.

I have taken my belongings and please do not bother to look for me. I am going for a long holiday and will not come back.

Take care.

Regards,

George Scotsman

Davina was obviously furious about her husband’s unexpected departure. Uncalled for, she thought. Davina kept the letter in a safe place. She would not want it to fall into the wrong hands. Her mother-in-law is one person who should not know about the breakdown in her marriage. One of the pre-nuptial agreement that she made with George Scotsman was that she must not remarry. However, if she fails to produce and heir to their business empire, she will not be entitled to half of Scotsman’s assets. Davina was indeed bitter after that birth of Rosaline.

The phone rang and Davina answered in a hostile tone, “Yes, Mother I will be there to pick you up from the airport. Did you say it was Gatwick? Or was it Heathrow?”

Her mother-in-law, Lady Teressa Scotsman slammed down her phone.

” I can’t believe how George tolerated that piece of tart!” shouted Lady Teressa vehemently.

“William, take me to Portsmoor Manor this instance!” cried Lady Teressa almost in tears.

“Madame, why are you so angry?” asked William, the family’s driver. William has been with the Scotsman family for almost 10 years and he sincerely cared about Lady Teressa. After Lord Scotsman passed away, Lady Teressa had taken over their shipping business empire and she travelled quite frequently to meet business partners. Her only son has no interest in the business at all and she was indeed disappointed. Nowadays, she found her solace in her philanthropic activities.

The black and elegant Rolls Royce parked majestically outside the Portsmoor Manor. William is a dedicated worker and a good driver and he always made sure that Lady Teressa arrived safely at her destinations.

“Davina! Where are you?!” Please answer the door, you jezebel!” Without my son, you would not have gotten all those luxuries in your damn low life!” yelled Lady Teressa. The two dalmations guarding Lady Teressa joined in to support her cursing of the wretched woman.

“William, please call the police. I have found a thief here!”

Davina was escorted by two woman police officers for stealing £200,000 worth of jewellery and gold.
