Short story for children.

The Frog was actuanylly princess and wore a crown.
The Butterfly was incredibly beautiful and when she flew her wings spread magical golden dust.
The Frog liked to lounge all day long on some water-lily leaf in the middle of the pond and to command the little mosquitoes either to bring her another fresh silt cocktail or to fan with some bulrush leaf. When a mosquito disobeyed her orders, the Frog furiously stretched her long sticky tongue and ate him right on the moment. Well, this wasn’t a Frog to play jokes with, kids!
The Frog was secretly envying the beautiful butterfly.
Oh, yes, the Frog had long thin legs and she even need no high hill shoes, because she was pretty tall when she stayed strained. But her skin was sticky and GREEN. Even if she put on lots of makeup and lip-stick, even if she had a hairstyle done and her hair bleached, she couldn’t become more beautiful than the Butterfly.
She dreamed just for a day to walk in the shoes of the Butterfly.
It made her even angrier and often in her fury she ate all of her unresting servants – the little mosquitoes. Thanks God, there where so many subjects flying around the pond that this didn’t disturbed her froggish calmness.
As we already said, the Butterfly was gorgeous. Very gorgeous.
She loved her fascinating colorful wings, the light refracting through them and forming vibrant rainbow, she took her two black antennae to be always perfect and stretched and cheerfully spread around golden dust from early in the morning till dark.
In the morning she washed her face with the dew-drops on the surface of the plants’ leaves and in the evening she laid in her cocoon hammock.
She worked hard. She flew from flower to flower, she collected the dust and she dispersed it around. She new her work is important, because thus more and more flowers would grow.
But her work was difficult and tiring. She saw the Frog lounging all day long at the sun and giving orders to her servants.
She dreamed just for a day to walk in the shoes of the Frog.
One day, when there were clouds on the sky and the Butterfly was flying over the pond in a hurry, right in the moment she was passing over the water-lily palace of the Frog, lighting flashed, followed by frightening thunder.
The strong noise made the Butterfly stagger and she fell in the Frog’s feet, who was seating kingly on her throne.
Their eyes met and a miracle happened.
The Frog turned into the Butterfly and the Butterfly turned into the Princess Frog.
The Frog instantly spread her new amazing wings, flew away and started spreading dust behind her.
The Butterfly sat on the throne as queens do and crossed her frog legs.
In a moment both of them received what they dreamed of.
Suddenly a dark shadow appeared and the pond shook. The peacefully jumping around frogs immediately disappeared and hid. But the Butterfly -Frog didn’t notice what was happening and quietly stayed enjoying the beautiful throne, when she saw the red legs of the stork and in the next instant she sank in his long neck.
The Frog-Butterfly was flying high and even higher, with outstretched wings. She wanted to show the others how gorgeous she was and didn’t hear the worried call of the rest of the butterflies to hide with them under the leaves.
A strong wind started blowing, grabbing the beautiful butterfly. It started throwing her with no mercy, up and down, until she was torn to pieces and left off.
Well dear, if only the Frog and the Butterfly had dreamed of becoming just friends….
