The opening ceremony was electrifying.

. I could not believe the wonder of what I had seen. Suddenly all was quite. A deep bass note sounded throughout the massive hall and vibrated my very bones. As the first note began to fade a second came into exsistence, melding with the first, amplifying the original note. A hidden male choir began to sing a fast pace song which appealed to my very being and although I couldn’t understand the words I soon found that I too was singing with them. Soon after a female choir began singing with their haunting slow melodies melding with the fast paced song. We all started walking down the massive hallway at pace with the song until we reached a massive oak door. The greatest gem of them all was beyond those doors. The doors creaked open. It was my job to take the gem and escape safely.

I need this gem more than I need air to breath, for it was this gem that’ll restore my honor among my people. It had taken me over a decade to locate the gem and come up with a plan to steal it. I need to stick to my plan if I am to succeed.  The singing ended and it was all deathly quiet. Somone walked up to the podium and started a speech. He talked about the gem’s greatness and splendor. Once the speech was done he made a toast and everyone began to go up to the gem in twos to praise it’s splendor and receive a chalice of wine. When it was my turn I walked up inconspicously and examined the podium and the gem. There seemed to be four guards on duty at any one time and the Gem itself was about as big as my head. It was so close I could touch, but I’ll need to show some self restraint if my plan is to work.

After everyone had dispersed I hid underneath a table where food was held. I waited until everyone except the guards had departed. I readied my knives and checked whether the poison hadn’t been wiped away. The poison wouldn’t kill the guards, but they’d be so dazed they won’t remember what happened or who they were. I slowly got out and ran up to the guards silently and slashed at their backs, the poison took effect instantly, they dropped unconsious. I ran up to the podium and grabbed the gem and then dashed off out of the opened oak doors. I then slid up against a wall and pressed a slightly a certain brick until it clicked and a hidden passage opened up. From there it was home free. I entered the passage and started my long journey home. I’ve finally regained my honor.
