Short Story.

summer I went to Alexandria Arachoton to see the ruins, but I was very tired so I went to a tree and sat there and closed my eyes. Then I opened my eyes and saw a man next to me. I thought I recognized him from my book, and suddenly I realized who he was. I asked, “Are you really Alexander the Great?!

He said “Yes I am.”

I was amazed! I actually got to see Alexander the Great, the great leader whom my friends have talked about for a long time. I asked, “Can I ask you some questions before I have to leave?”

He said, “Well, I don’t have to do anything on this day, so I think you can.”

I asked, “Where were you born?”

He said, “I was born in Macedonia.”

“Why did you want to conquer so much land” I asked.

“Well, I needed to conquer a lot of places where I could start my dream, which is to make one of the best empires ever, and a lot of people would respect us. I also wanted to spread Greek culture because I think that Greek culture is very interesting.”

“I think that your strategy for fighting is very cool, and I can’t believe that you didn’t lose a lot of battles.”

“Yes, I had to train my soldiers a lot, but I was really upset when they didn’t want to fight deeper into India.”

“Was it hard to fight the Persians and the Greeks and all of those people?”

“No, it was actually really easy, and we didn’t even have to fight the Egyptians, they just surrendered without a fight.”

“Wow, that is so amazing, and, by the way, did you really untied the knot tied by an ancient king?”

“Yes I did; well, I actually cut through it with my sword.”

“My last question is that you had a disease in Babylo…o…what’s happening to me? Oh no! Ah!!!!!

I just suddenly opened my eyes and saw I was in the tree, but Alexander wasn’t there. I wondered where he was. Then I realized that it was all a dream.
