                                                         Chapter1 leaving
I was just a kid a lonely orphan, didn’t care much about a family. Well that is until the day my friend Mark got adopted. We where like brothers we fit together like soft chewy chocolate chip cookies and milk, like peanut butter and jelly. But not any more we where broken apart like a vase fallen form the kitchen table or like a soggy wet piece of paper waiting to be ripped or stepped on. We where know more.
So I sat there that lonely day and night and just put my head by the window listen to the kids play out side by day and by night hear the wind scrape across the grass as if it was trying get the grass to come along with it. I was tired sitting hear for some family to come rescue me out of this dump. I was tired of waiting for my friend to come back even if he was gone for good. I was just plain tired and that’s all there was too it.
Huh what’s that noise the guy on the top of my bunker said. He couldn’t quite make out the image of me, lucky for me he was almost blind as a bat with out his glasses. “You probably don’t know who I am, but if they ask where I have gone just say…. journey” I said looking at him. I climbed out the window with just a pair of my pajamas on and my backpack and me. I was ready, for what u may ask, the journey of a lifetime. Woshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the wind blazed at me. I was so cold I could think of nothing else, and then I opened my eyes as I looked at what was in front of me.
Vroommmmmmmm the cars of the engines roared as they zipped by passed me. But when they would stop I would stare at the kid’s faces in the cars and they would stare back. Then I opened my eyes to the big picture I was all alone I didn’t nowhere to go not even where to start. It was wednesday it was cold and it was dark.
But that wouldn’t stop me no not me not the great…I paused I remembered I didn’t know my name but that was because my parents never gave me one. I was just called orphan. I walked away from that ratty old run down orphanage. I never turned back never looked back not once not twice. I didn’t nowhere I was going but all I new was I was getting there.
That night I slept under the bridge waiting for morning to come along. I made time go by fast by dreaming that’s what I always did. It was my get away if that’s what u would like to call it. It was away form everything but no to far when I needed it. In there I could be as rich as bill gates or as strong as super man. What ever it was I was I could be it and to me that was the best thing in the world.
“Hey u hey get up u shouldn’t be sleeping here,” the policeman said. Now go along and run of to your mommy and daddy. I don’t have one. Oh well I am very sorry to hear that now come with me you little brat. “No!” I yelled “You are very mean and I do not wish to fellow you so now unhand me ay once” “Listen kid I don’t usually tell every one this but where both men here right?” “Hm mm” I said as I nodded.
“Good so now u want to know why I hate this job, BECAUSE I HAVE TO DEAL WITH ANNOYING LITTLE KIDS LIKE YOU” he said as steam came out of his ears “But how can I be a little kid if u just called me a grown up” as I said looking at him awkwardly “besides I am 7 loser” I said with an attitude. People laughed as they walked by from overhearing my little conversation with the police guard. Now he was even madder as he looked at me but all I could say was “oops”
“Come here u little kid” the guard said as he chased me. Bam I ran into a person and looked behind me the cop was gaining on me “hide me” I said to the man I had ran into pleas…. he finally said ok to me. I peeked out to see if the cop was gone and that’s when he spotted me. He quickly ran up to the man I was hiding behind and asked “is this boy yours Mr.” He looked down at me and saw my scared face and quickly said yes.” “Oh well I don’t me to disturbed u but your boy is a son of a ….he quickly rephrased his sentence and said your son is a hand full pleas keep your eyes on him next time pleas” he said as he walked away. “Thanks for taking cover for me sir” I said but has he looked down to say your welcome I was gone.

.                                                           Chapter2 the search and chase begins
Ding ding ding the bell at the orphanage rang over the loud gray dull speakers. Where is he the, get up I want every one in roll call right now said Mr. Bridges. Now someone is going to tell me where he is or I will take everyone’s breakfast and lunch he said as he walked up and down the room. One kid was a smart mouth and yelled, you already did that Mr. Bridges, don’t u remember sir he said trying to look as tough as he could possible be. Well in that case how about I take away lunch he said with a grin on his face.
“Shirley I want u to print out pictures of that darn boy we have to find him no matter what.” “Jason round up the kids and put them into groups I want them scattered across the city.” “Tell them who ever finds that kid first may eat dinner tonight.” “May eat dinner tonight sir don’t u think that is a little to harsh they should already be eating dinner sir” “Look when u own a run down rat infested orphanage then u get to make the rules do u under stand me!” “Yes sir.”
I was running down the street chasing a cat for fun when I ran across a barbershop it had a TV inside it and since I didn’t fell like chasing the cat anymore I stepped inside. All the sudden I see my picture on the screen and for a minute I was happy. That’s until I realized that the reason my picture was on the TV screen in the 9:00news in the morning was because they where looking for me. Soon people in the store where looking at me and trying to see if it was actually me or where there eyes fooling them. Until some one said wait a minute it his him. Soon every one started reaching and grabbing for me trying to get me.
Not for the reason u think not cause they wanted to be heroes oh noooooooooo not cause of that it was for the 3,000$ at stake if they found me. I quickly ran out the store trying to reach to safety only where was safety I had no where to run the hole town was looking for me they wanted the money that was on the line if they found me. So there I was getting chased by half the town in my pajamas. But I guess this is what I would have to deal with since the day of the journey.
Huff huff huff I was breathing as I was running but I couldn’t stop, at least not now. I quickly turned to the nearest alley and hid behind the dumpster I was safe for now but not forever. At least it was better than nothing for now. Finally I was just calming down until I heard a big boo. Who was behind me who was I to await as I turned around all those thoughts where running through my head. I finally turned around to find out it was a girl. “Hi” she said with her head slanted looking at me like I was awkward. Then the with the movement of her hand she pulled me up.
Then at that moment she said what are u doing here all alone in this dark ally? I held my head up high long enough to see the sun was going down. It was getting dark and I had no plan, no place to sleep and I couldn’t sleep under the bridge again.

I MEET THE OTHER RUN AWAY Orphans
She looked at me and said “you will love it trust me” Trust me just the word I needed to hear the same word my former friend said. Trust me we will be friends for ever he said the night before he left just trust me. How I despised of that word that five letter word. I hated it and as soon as I heard it from her so many thoughts ran through my head. How I had know body in life just me and I guess these other orphans.
“Hey!”She said yelling “are u hearing what I am saying” I could tell by the tone of her voice that she had a short temper and, I didn’t want to get on here bad side. “Hey open up!” she said in a loud voice “What’s the pass code!” he responded also yelling. “I was alone!” she said back “The full pass code Anya and I mean it” he said “Ok ok  gosh” “I am alone and I have no one I was left cause I was not wanted  I come here cause I find joy in this place” she said “Ok” he said.
He opened the door and I stepped inside form and the moment I stepped inside I new what it was I could still the smells even if it wasn’t new it the first orphanage I had been taken to. It now looked even worse than it had looked before. “I am not staying here” I quickly said “wait hold on a sec who are u in the first place?” he said looking at me suspicious. “Look I don’t want you here we already have enough kids running around here” “well fine then have it your way I shouldn’t even be here” and with that said I stormed out of the run down orphanage. I guess Anya wasn’t the only person with a short temper.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       “Hey you okay? Anya stepped out, you seemed kind of mad back there. “Oh you heard that, sorry didn’t no u where there well every on in there heard it. She got down and smiled “hear sit” she pointed to the step where she sat. “Right here com on don’t be shy” “hey” I said “how old are u” well I am about 8 I don’t really know since I never celebrated birthdays on my own till I found these guys. “Hey now that I think of it I think of it I think that I am ten” “oh” I said with a sigh. Then at that moment something caught my eye. “Hey, where did u get that necklace from”  “oh this old thing. Well it has been on me ever since I found it 3 years ago” interesting I had on just like this look. I reached inside my shirt to look for it but it wasn’t there it was gone! Where could it have gone did it drop did someone take it. I had all these questions in my head but no explanation. What was I to do!
“Give it back” I said with fire raging in my eyes “what are u talking about” “you know my necklaces give it back!” “WHOA calm down this isn’t yours” “yes it is!”
“No its not!” “Then let me have a look at it!” “Why because mine has a broken piece on the left side” she opened her mouth as if she was going to yell  something like “  YOU THIEF”,or I HATE YOU” but she didn’t her expression on her face changed . It was an expression  of disbelief and amazement jammed into her little pale face. She stepped up closer and  touched my face as  if blindness had struck her at that very moment. Her hands motion around forming a big circle around me and then like as if it was raining  i felt her tears drip down my shoulder.
I  froze in complete silence not know what else would be better to do.Thoughts raced through my mind at a100mph per hour. The silenced was shattered “Anya,Anya look your necklace it fell from your neck” ” You really got to learn how to tie these things better” said Johna one of the run away orphans.
