This is a furturistic horror/thriller which I have posted in a series because it is far easier to read and more people can read the chapters in their own time then all at once. All Parts/chapters to this series are posted below in links. This story is about what happens when we lose sight of everything we know including our sense of values. Are we all doomed to hell or is there something more.

Part 2

In the beginning Elizabeth and Isabelle were not unlike any other children, they liked to play games, sing songs and do all the things that children normally do. They simply liked to enjoy life and have fun.

They were the best of friends and had the deepest love, respect and devotion for one another. They overcame all obstacles that stood in their way, although, oddly enough Elizabeth and Isabelle were opposites. The pair worked together best this way, needing one another in order to feel whole, to feel happy. A lesson we would all come to learn as a people eventually.

Years passed by quietly and it wasn’t until later on in their lives that the stories about them came from out of seclusion. This unique pair of twins were able to telecommunicate with one another. They had an uncanny intuition and were able to experience feelings, not just from one another but from the people around them as well. Elizabeth and Isabelle were even capable of leaving their bodies at will. They always journeyed together and usually had some pretty unbelievable stories that would come back with them. The question was at that time, especially when it concerned their parents, were these wild but wonderful stories just in their imaginations or was something greater actually going on.

Going into rewind a bit, I meant it when I said that the twins were the opposites of one another. Everything Elizabeth was, Isabelle was not and well you know how the other part goes. What do you know, with that thought, it has brought a smile to my face, not sure if I would write such a thought but at least after this amount of time of living in oblivion, I still have a little bit of a sense of humor left somewhere in this numb brain of mine.

My mind going back to the story, the twins were something to talk about, they lay heavy on the lips of many, that was undeniable! Although were they just a good party topic, something to discuss while having a drink with your friends? No they were much more then that.

The first to be born was Elizabeth, Isabelle came seven minutes later. From the stories told, while they were still in the womb Elizabeth had completely deprived Isabelle of all nourishment, taking it for herself. Elizabeth was born alive while Isabelle came into this world a still born.

Their parents could not accept that their second born child was dead so for some unknown reason they had her put on a life support machine, a very conventional piece of equipment at the time, long ago forgotten. Miraculously after a week, exactly seven days after her birth, all the tubes, respirators and needles were removed from Isabelle. The precious baby had fought for her life without the need for anything but a old piece of machinery completely out of date given the technology that existed and not only had Isabelle fought, she had won.

While growing up Elizabeth was rebellious, clever and sly while Isabelle was more like a whisper in the wind, shy, quiet and very, very smart. Nothing more became of them, apart from appearing in the occasional the tabloids, until years later early into their adulthood.

Elizabeth was plagued by dreams and visions, dreams of the dark deep things that would horrify even the most logical of people . Fear itself haunted Elizabeth and she saw an underworld of abominations, beasts, demons, vampires, every terrible living and dead creation once known to man bore into her mind. Terrible crimes against humanity relentlessly played out in her mind through her visions and she used to say it shamed her to be called a human. Over time the dreams and visions she experienced got much worse until she eventually accepted into her life the one thing they called out for her to accept, the ways of the dark.

Isabelle was yet again the opposite. She had dreams and visions of light and healing, of helping others and all of the beautiful possessions that belonged to the earth. Indeed, she to had nightmares, however; they were unlike her sisters, she had dreams of the dark within her sister, she dreamed of exorcising her of it, to free Elizabeth from the darkness that shrouded her very essence.

A meeting of the minds came from this process between them. It was then that the sisters began to change dramatically.
