Short story about a double life led by the seemingly sweet kindgertarten teacher Wendy.

Wendy was a kindergarten teacher; she had a teacher name, drove a teacher car, she spoke like a teacher and had teacher qualities.  Not one parent or colleague from her school would ever suspect the kind of mischief Wendy got up to, until today.

The playground was abuzz, angry parents trodding up and down the hallways, children running mindlessly around with their new found freedom. The principal’s secretary, telling parents one by one to take a seat in the hall, Mrs Hondert wouldn’t be able to speak to anyone until she got the facts straight. “Please be patient.” She pleaded. “We are doing everything we can to get to the bottom of this, please sit and wait in the hall.”

Eventually the noise died down as teachers roped their kids into the classrooms and the parents gave up knocking on the principal’s door and went to the hall, where the talk continued.  “You know my son came home last week giggling and carrying on about Miss Langden’s ‘boobies poking out,’ I of course didn’t think anything of it at the time. What have we let that woman subject our children to?” a well-to-do looking mother spat. “You know I’m as worried as the next guy” a blokey looking man said. “But we can’t go spouting all these accusations without any evidence; let’s just wait for the principal.” “From that statement John I would take a guess YOUR defending the whore, is there a reason for that?” the same woman replied nastily. “Look here Joan, if your implying that I have been involved in this kind of behaviour I would think again, this is my kid’s teacher too, remember?” he said, with a gruff looking face.

In her office, Mrs Hondert was not sure where to start. It was only one hour earlier that she’d received the call from Mrs Jones, a concerned and very angry parent of one of Miss Langden’s students. She knew Miss Langden had every right to see whom she wanted in her personal time and it’s not like she went about town dressing provocatively or anything of the sort. She had only known Wendy Langden to be a sweet and a supposedly wholesome young woman, and an exceptional teacher.  Even if Wendy did ‘see’ a parent of her student out of school hours in the privacy of her own home it would be ‘frowned upon’ but not necessarily breaking the rules. The accusation that Miss Langden charged men for sex was however a different story.
