Angela and Kariann were two little sisters. They loved each other very much. One day Daddy(David) said girls, we are going camping tomorrow.  Pack your bags and then get a good nights sleep. Camping the girls said , We have never been camping before.This will give you a chance to find some Autumn leaves, said Daddy. Yeah! So early the next morning  Daddy and the girls took off in his van. It was pretty full of things they would need for camping. There was a tent, a camp stove, some pots and pans, dishes, utensils, sleeping bags and drawing pads and colored pencils in case the girls wanted to draw what they had seen. Most important was food and clean water.  Pretty soon they arrived at the camping site. It was right next to a small lake. There are fish in that lake Daddy said. Lets put the tent up and arrange things. There was a picnic table and a well with water. Oh, said Daddy I guess we really didn’t need the water because I brought bottled water , but better to be safe than sorry. The girls agreed.                                              When the tent was up they got out the fishing poles. Daddy brought worms for bait. Icky!  Said the girls, worms! The fish eat them said Daddy. Come on let me bait the hook. They cast the lines in the water and got some bites, then finally the girls each caught a fish. It’s a big one said Daddy when Kariann caught her fish. It’s a baby fish Daddy said when Angela caught her fish. Can I keep it said Angela. No, we have to put him back. Soon Angela caught a big fish and they kept that one. Daddy was going to cook the fish for supper. Can we go looking for leaves the girls asked? Well, OK said Daddy, if you don’t go too far away.                                  So off they went picking up leaves. Such pretty colors! Red, yellow.Orange,Brown. Pretty soon the basket was full of leaves.  Lets go back to camp the girls said. They could still see Daddy. He was starting a fire to cook the fish they caught. How are you doing girls? Daddy called out. OK they said. just then they heard a sound. It sounded almost like a baby crying. They followed the sound and soon found a tiny baby bear. Oh! Look how little and cute it is. But how did a baby puppy get out here all by himself? Lets take it back to camp they said. They didn’t know it was a real baby bear. They thought it was a puppy.                                                    Look Daddy! Look what we found! A baby Puppy! A baby puppy said Daddy?! That’s a bear cub and I bet the mommy is out looking for it right now! We better put it back where you got it from. So they rushed back to where they found it, and sure enough they no sooner got back to camp and they could see the Mama bear take the cub and move him to a safer spot. That’s a good idea said Daddy, I think I will move my two little cubs to a safer spot too. So they moved the camp site to the other side of the lake where there were no Mama bears or baby bears  for the girls to  run into. When they got home from the camping trip, mommy asked them how the leaf hunting trip went. They just shook their heads and said , next time they wanted to look at leaves they would go to the corner park. Mommy just stood there with a puzzled look on her face and the girls and Daddy had to laugh. Come on said daddy. We will tell you all about it!
