On the spirituality of man, and our reason for being here.
“Yes Master. I humbly ask of your kindness.” Wolf replied.
“Then tell me Wolf, why do you wish to possess the bird so? Is it of selfishness, or fear?” his Master ask.
“I do not understand.” Wolf replied.
“Is it of selfishness to be a great hunter, or is it of fear that you will not be so great without the bird?” he explained.
“I cannot deny it, for it is lowly of my kind to deny that which is true. It is of selfishness to be great. It is what we are taught by our elders as well as teach our young. It is in this way that Wolves will always thrive. I wish not to possess her, merely not to lose sight of her.”
“Tell me young hunter, would her flight be as glorious if she cannot fly when and where she pleases? Would her flight be as free if she must return from whence she left?”
For long moments, Wolf quietly pondered the implications of his Masters word then cried out in despair …
“Is this so wrong this way I am? Is this not the way thou hast made me, this way of Wolf?”
“Despair not young hunter, for truly a great hunter you are indeed. Know this and you will know truth.
Be as such as the Hawk, who as she knows of the Earth she knows she’s apart from it. Know this, and you will know knowledge.
Know though your flight is not of the skies, it is of the spirit which transcends both the Earth, and the Heavens. Know this and you will know Wisdom.”
Again, for long moments, Wolf sat in silence pondering the meaning of his masters’ words, and finally sang out in great anguish. His song bellowed forth from his very soul and he sang as never before …
“Then grant me this Master! Give unto me a place I have not seen, and a time nor I’ve been. Give me this so that I will better understand of these things, of this way that thou hast made me. Grant me this so that I shall know better this way of Wolf!”
His master heard his cry and granted him this wish …
“I grant you this Wolf.”, he said. “I give unto you the place you’ve not seen, and the time in which you’ve not seen it. I give it unto thee as the Now, and the place, behold before you the Earth”
