I was wondering what it would be like to be a ham sandwich so I wrote this..
As the man lay down, Tate watched until he fell asleep. She got up and took a box out from under the bed. The box had a gold latch with a gold lock. It was a dark wooden box with the name Tate carved into the top in big letters. She opened the box with a special golden key; inside there was a book, a pencil and a large amount of paper among other things. As she pulled the book out she heard Jebous roll over, she quickly returned the book, closed the box, grabbed it and ran out the door. Outside she found a nice place to sit under the shade of a giant oak. There were markings on the tree from where the man had cut branches and bark off to make things with. She then unlocked the box and took out the book. The title read: The Rules. She opened the book and began reading.
The Rules
Rule one: You must never let this book fall into someone else’s hands.
Rule Two: You must never go beyond the trees.
Rule Three: You must never be seen by anyone but your companion.
Rule Four: ……
As she was reading she heard something so she quickly replaced the book and hid her box under a bush near by. She looked around for any site of someone; all she saw was a baby deer eating grass and leaves. The deer looked up at her and began to move slowly to her. She saw what was happening and began to move slowly toward the deer, as she approached the deer it stopped. She reached out and touched the deer on the nose. It started licking her hand. She giggled and continued to pet the deer. After a while the deer stood up like it heard something and then ran away. Jebous was walking around looking for Tate. She walked over to him, he was carrying clothes for her to wear. “These should fit you if you want to wear them. No one ever comes around here so it doesn’t matter.” She accepted them, they walked to the house and she put them on.
