I started this story some time ago, and want to know if I should continue it. Please give me your opinion.

Dear Thomas,

It’s Melissa. Meet me after school in the park. Make sure Michael is there as well. Write a response and pass it to Butch. He knows what to do with it.

                                                                      Yours truly,

                                                                           Melissa Mariana

His eyes widened in happiness. He had always dreamed of something like this. He looked towards Michael. He sat a row behind him. However, he was closest to Butch. “Here, write okay on the back and give it to Butch,” Thomas whispered to Michael as he passed the folded paper. “Alright, that’s this page. I’ll give you the rest of the class time to work on your homework,” Mrs. Henson had said as she had palpably finished her lesson. She sat in her desk and started to read a book. Thomas turned around and saw Michael pass it to Butch. He then realized the possibilities in his head. Melissa could be in love with him and then they could go out. However, another thought managed to push itself into his mind. It could be a set up, a trap. Melissa could probably be waiting there, but a gang of bullies could be waiting behind the bushes or the slide. He tried to forget it. Anyways, he should bring a few other secret people just in case. After the six hours of school, the bell rang and he finally left. Of course he told Michael and they left straight to the park. No one was there.

“Maybe she forgot,” Michael said.

“No, she couldn’t,” Thomas responded, looking around. The leaves rustled in the wind. Then out of nowhere Butch, and several other friends ran towards them. As he looked closely they were holding baseball bats and broken beer bottles.

“Haha! They fell for it! Those nerds think they can hit on my girlfriend?!?” Butch yelled angrily.

“We’ll be killed if they catch us!” Michael said as he started to run. Thomas followed him and then he just remembered. His foolish mind wandered off during classes and he completely forgot to tell those other people to back him up.
