The star clung to the night sky.

strella, the star, whimpered to the moon.

he reached out, touched the moon, and cried again.

he moon, Luna, looked at the tiny star longingly when she had sniveled a sigh.

una reached slowly out to her after she saw Estrella’s tears.

he infant ball of light, ripe with sadness explained what was wrong.
|

strella stopped crying, lunged forward, and let go of the heavens.
|
T |
hen, “I’m a shooting star!” she exclaimed.
|
T |
he luminescent sphere, Estrella, that lit the night, fell swiftly after the winter blanket had gone.
|
S |
he fulfilled her wish to become a shooting star and fell to earth, where now she lights the world.
