This is all I could write on about this story. I leave the writing of the end up to you. know you can come up with a better way to finish this story than I could. Have fun with it…

The room was covered in shadows from the light of the full moon.  A four poster bed was set in the center of north wall.  Windows lined the east wall and an empty fire place faced the bed from across the room.  Tree branches scraped the window pane and light breathing from the seventeen year old girl in the bed echoed through the room.

Clank.

“Huh,”  She jerked awake and looked around the dark room.

What had awakened her?  A cold breeze brushed by her, sending shivers through her body.  She sat up and was instantly hit with another icy wind.  Clank.  An open window banged against another window.

“What?  I closed the windows.”  She climbed out of bed and onto the stone floor.  “Oh, it’s cold!”

She rushed across the room, pulled the window shut, and flew back to bed.  Pulling the covers up to her chin she rolled onto her side, and into an object, also in the bed.  She pulled away and tried to leap out of the bed, but a hand stretched out of the darkness and clasped itself around her neck.  A second hand clamped over her mouth, stopping her from screaming before it had even occurred to her to do so.  A cold voice seeped through the darkness, sending shivers down her spine.

“I’ll remove my hand from your mouth, but if you scream I’ll kill you.  Understand?”

She nodded the best she could and the hand covering her mouth was removed, the other one slid down to clutch her arm.  She breathed heavily, trying to control the fear that coursed through her body.

From the corridor came the sounds of many booted feet running in both directions.  The noise made the man tense, and still gripping her arm he forced her across the room to the door.  He checked to see if it was locked and then took the chair from her desk and jammed it under the door knob.  He slowly backed away, his hand tightening slightly causing her to wince.

BAM!

She jumped and started to scream, but a hand was quickly pressed against her mouth.

BOOM!  The door shook.

She shivered, not realizing she’d been released.

BOOM!  The chair groaned under the constant pressure.  It couldn’t hold much longer.
