The story is about a boy who is forced into finding the lost treasure after his family gets kidnapped.

A THE LOST TREASURE

I woke up it was just a casual day. I had my breakfast like anyone would. The later that night when I went to bed I noticed something on the end of my bet it was a letter. It said

‘Simon Lilly
I have watched over you for the last seventeen years. But now it is time for me to go. I am going to the castle to fine the hidden treasure. I have been researching about it for the last ten years. I have worked out that there was a series of tunnels under the castle containing a large amount of treasure. Soon people will come to our house looking for my research. Leave now so you can escape to the castle.

Jason’

I ran down the hall way yelling ‘mum, mum’ but there was no answer. I was too late the men had taken mum to the ground and they started to tie her up. ‘Go run away Simon’ she said as they tied some cloth around her mouth. The men in black suits noticed me so I ran up the stairs and into my room. I was about to jump out the window when I noticed a book on my bed. I took a closer look it was my dad’s research so I took it and jumped.

I ran into our family’s stables. Dad had taken one horse but mums horse and my horse were still there so I took mums horse because it is bigger and stronger. I went out the back hoping they weren’t there but there were lots of people there so I turned around and went back through the stables. As I was passing through I grabbed a bale of hay and a wooden pole.  Just after I exited there were two men standing in front of me so I put out the pole. Thwack it hit both men right in the chest and they hit the ground simultaneously. Ten or so men were surrounding me so I went through a gap between two men. As I was passing through I dropped the bale of hay in front of the horse’s foot. It sent hay flying in all directions blinding the men for a couple of seconds. It gave me enough time to dart into the woods.
