The Poor Little Rich Girl

During Science class, Jessie was called by her teacher to recite. Oh, she really hates science. For her, that is her least favorite subject. The teacher asked her to explain the Big Bang Theory. As usual, she could not explain it. As punishment, the teacher let her stand at the front of the whole class for the whole hour.

The teacher called another student named Arthur. Arthur is very handsome and very smart. Every girls in school likes him. When Arthur answered the question, the teacher is satisfied with his answer.

At lunch hour, Jessie and her special friend Greg have lunch together at the cafeteria.

Jessie said, “I wish I could be more like Arthur. He is so handsome and smart that is why he became popular in school. ”

Greg said, ” You are smart and talented. Just focus more on your science. “

Jessie replied, “You only say that because you my special friend. “

After sipping his glass of juice, Greg asked, “Are you going to Science Fair on Saturday? Everybody will be going. I am so excited to show you my new science project. I bet I would get a first prize for that.”

Jessie said, “You always get the second prize since you joined the Science Fair when we were in grade school. Oh, I wish I could be more like you. You are so optimistic all the time.”

When the day of the event came, Jessie went to the Science Fair alone. While she is looking for Greg, the three girls in her class saw her. Ana is the leader of the group of three girls. She is a head cheerleader .

She said, “Here comes now looking for her geek partner.”

Riva, Ana’s friend who always won the dancing contest, said, ” Jessie is so pretty. She really needs a real boyfriend unlike Greg.”

Alicia, whose opinion is not considered by the group, insisted, ” I think Greg is cute.”

Ana said, “It’s time for a make over. Let us share to her our little secret. We can sell to her our magic potion and be part of our clique.”

Riva said, “You are right, girl. “

Alicia said, ” What are we waiting for? Let’s call her attention.”

When they called Jessie’s attention, Jessie came near to them. Riva explained to her about the magic potion. At first Jessie could not believe about what she heard from them.

Jessie said, ” Do you think this is safe? I could get poison while drinking this.”

Ana said, “It is safe. We tried it. Look! I became smart and beautiful head cheerleader.”

Jessie laughed, ” No. I don’t want to be a cheerleader. “

Riva said, “Okay! Do you want to catch guy’s attention? “

Jessie shrugged, “I think I don’t need guys attention. I am sorry, girls. I am not interested at the potion.”

When Jessie saw Artur passed by, Jessie smiled at him. And, Arthur smiled back at her.

Alicia said, “I know you really like Arthur. I saw the way you smiled at him. You can get his attention by drinking this potion.”

Jessie said, “Are you sure it is safe?”

Alicia said, “Yes. We had already tried it. “

Jessie asked, ” How does it taste like?”

Riva give the orange bottle to Jessie and said, ” It comes in various flavors. Here is your favorite. You like orange, right?”

Jessie took the bottle. She opened it and took a sip until she finished the whole bottle.

Jessie said, “You got to be kidding. It has no effect on me.”

Riva said, “Oh, you would not feel any pain. At first, you would feel dizzy. After that, you will become different. “

Jessie pays for the bottle and say good bye to the three girls. Then, she started looking for Greg. While she is heading toward Greg, she fainted on the floor. Some of guys saw her so they brought her in the clinic.

Vengeance Is Mine

At the clinic, Greg is with her to take care of her. After a half hour, she is in her consciousness.

She asked, “What happened? Why am I here? ”

Greg replied, ” You fainted. Some guys saw you so they brought you here in the clinic. I don’t know what happened. Tell me. “

She said, “I don’t remember anything. Who are you?”

Greg got panicked so she asked the nurse. The nurse said that she might have a temporary amnesia but she will get back to her own consciousness soon.

The three girls hurried to the clinic.

Ana said, “Get away from our friend. You are good for nothing.”

Greg was surprised. He looked at Jessie and said, “Jessie, do you know these girls?”

Jessie replied, ” Now, I remembered. Greg, these are the girls who are selling me a magic potion. Ouch, my head hurts. “

Greg quickly called the nurse.

The nurse said, “Oh, she would be alright. Let her rest for awhile. After that, she will be ok.”

After one hour of resting, Jessie hurried to go home to make a science project. Then, she asked her three new friends to bring it to the science fair. Many people gathered around her to see her new science project. Jessie explained the details while the three girls present the demo. The judges are impressed so they give her a first prize.

Greg was so surprise at Jessie. He could not believe how she can produce a project in a short period of time. And, Arthur came to Jessie to congratulate her.

Sweet Revenge

Jessie became active in both curricular and extra-curricular activities. She became one of the officers in some various school organization. She also got a full time college scholarship in a prestigious university. The best of all, Arthur became her faithful and lovable boyfriend while Greg felt left out.

On the other hand, Greg is still curious about the magic potion so she asked Jessie.

Jessie said, ” Ok, I will tell you my little secret but don’t tell anyone about it.”

Jessie handled him the bottle.

Greg said, “Is this the magic potion?”

Jessie said, “Yes. But do it at home. Don’t let anybody see you drinking that.”

Greg quickly went home to try the magic potion. He opened it and finished the whole bottle.
To his surprise, it tastes like grapefruit and nothing happens to him. So, Greg called Jessie on phone.

Greg said, “Are you sure this is the real potion?”

Jessie said, “How do you feel lately?”

Greg said, “Nothing. Not at all.”

Jessie said, “I am quite sure that you are drinking a real grapefruit juice. I am sorry, Greg. I am just playing a prank on you. The truth is there is no potion.”

While she hanged up the phone, the three girls laughed.

Riva said, “Good one, Jessie. “

Ana said, “Thank you for listening our advice. “

Jessie said, “After drinking that potion, I feel different. Thank you guys. “
