This missionary is shifted to a dimension where a mythical lost race of people exists.
Nallon Bromph longed to be an explorer of strange new lands where people civilization had never heard of existed. He discovered that there was a dimension where a lost race of people could exist. The problem was, the race sounded more mythical than real. The people could control the powers of nature and had other God-like abilities. But it had somehow disappeared centuries ago and no one had been able to discover it.
When he left the seminary in 1928 he shifted to the dimension with a female biosyn he named Jora and a male synthetic named Monston. Nallon needed the biosyn to fight disease. But he needed the male synthetic to be the man servant for treks into uncharted territory. The dimension was similar to this dimension at the time only the civilized world was a bit smaller than what it was here because natural barriers cut off people from other people.
Nallon and his two synthetics entered the village of Pago Re with a portable nuclear power source on the back of Monston and weapons with steel ammunition. They also had force fields for protection bodily and around them when they were camped out in the wild. A portable shelter for all three was carried in a case on the back of Nallon’s powered excursion suit that was also protected by a personal force field. It had an internal beverage unit that allowed Nallon to drink while he was walking and a food replicator on the front so he could load it with molecular material and seconds later produce a food stick that he could eat. He would draw in his arms from the arm units and eat the stick inside the suit. Sometimes he would recycle his waste to produce food and beverages. As long as he didn’t think about what he was consuming used to be, he could stand to eat and drink what was produced.
Monston carried the weapons while Nallon’s powered excursion suit had multi-mode weapons in the arms along with power rays and electromagnetic discharge weapons. A transdimensional transporter unit allowed the three to transport to where they wanted to be. They traveled relatively light. Nallon was able to use his power rays to cut the brush better than a machete. The force fields kept insects from crawling over the trio as they trudged through the jungle.
