With the graduation of Finsten Soren, a shape shifter, in 1979 from the seminary, more shape shifters attended the seminary in order to train to serve God.  One of them was Ulvin Mran.  He graduated in 1984 and shifted to a dimension where only a shape shifter might be able to reach all the people.  He shifted to a world that had four distinct races of people and each hated the other races.  So Ulvin decided to try and be like the Apostle Paul and be all things to all people. 

The four races were the Ailwyns who lived primarily in the air in cloud communities, the Jang who lived on the surface, the Oorgran who lived below the surface, and the Yaulor who lived in the oceans of the planet.  Each race kept pretty much to itself and tried to have as little contact with the other races as possible. 

Ulvin stayed most of the time in the beginning in an adjacent dimension to observe the four races so he could deal with each the proper way.  When he felt he could deal with one of the races well he shifted to the dimension as one of them.  He chose to become a Jang first that looked Chinese. 

He entered the city of Fra Ul Nakon that was near one of the oceans of the world.  It was a city of over 5 million people and had an advanced civilization with levitated vehicles, stratotowers that pierced the clouds, and an airport/spaceport on the outskirts of the city.  Ulvin drove into the city in a van that had a couple replicators, some appliances, a computer system, an EPU system, and a chest of platinum bars and coins in the back.  He wanted to be established in the city first before tyring to reach the other races as if he were one of them. 

He drove to a real estate office and bought a house for 50,000 tauns that was four blocks from a recently abandoned church that had a main auditorium that could hold 3000 people.  He was able to purchase it for another 50,000 tauns.  The real estate agent was surprised he had so much money in platinum bars and coins since the world was just recovering from a financial collapse.  That was one reason why he was able to purchase the house and church for a percentage of what they were worth.  People were desperate for money.  But when he told the agent he had come from another dimension, the man understood.
