This missionary has to battle a preacher controlled by Satan.

1917 was the year Satan won in Russia by deforming it from a supposedly Christian nation into one he felt at home in.  He was having a great time in the Middle East being on both sides of the conflict between the Ottoman Turks and the Muslim tribes.  Both wanted total control of the Middle East and longed for the day when the Jews would be removed from the region.  And in Europe, America was finally entering the meat grinder known as the Great War or the War to End All Wars.  With a naive President in America who thought that just because you wanted something bad enough you could have it, the rest of the century was being set up to be the most deadly in history.  This pleased Satan immensely.

But this wasn’t enough for him.  He shifted to a dimension that he thought was ripe for his control.  But he didn’t count on Lurman Tenk also shifting to that dimension to eventually have a showdown with him that would decide the fate of an entire world.

Lurman shifted to the dimension with a female biosyn named Muranda along with the standard equipment missionaries brought to the dimensions.  They drove in a panel van and a sedan to the city of Plangan which was the twin city of Plouvan.  Each had 950,000 people and were alike in many respects.  Both had world-class museums and orchestras.   Each had championship athletic teams.  The universities in both cities were two of the finest institutes of higher learning in the nation.  And both shared the Mangranase River that divided them.

Lurman and Muranda drove to the housing registry to see if there were houses available that were near churches that needed pastors.  They found a church that had a 5500 seat main auditorium and a Christian academy that taught students from pre-school up to seminary.  It was a quarter mile from a fine home that was going for the ridiculously low price of 25,000 parns.  It was supposedly haunted which explained the low price.  But Lurman bought it anyways and took over the church so that the pastor could devote his time to running the academy which he had started a couple decades before.  He just needed a young man who wanted to keep the church preaching the Gospel.  Too many young men had come along who wanted to change the church to make it more modern.  But Lurman wanted to lead an old-fashioned church that based its beliefs and practices on the Bible and not some man’s philosophies.
