This missionary was sent to a dimension that is like Africa only more dangerous.
The trial lasted less than a day. The man was such a compulsive liar that the judge found him guilty of arson, attempted murder, and lying to the commander of the garrison in Garen Jorue. His claim was revoked and his money was refunded before he was sent back to where he came from. Muran bought the property and decided to give it to the villagers to own, even though technically they owned it in the first place. But now they had a legal document that stated they owned the land which they had lived on for all their lives.
Since the richest deposits of energicite were over 100 feet down below the village, Muran had drilling moles replicated with the materials replicator and his synthetics went to work mining for the energy-rich mineral. The ore was nearly 40% energicite which meant it was worth a fortune. Within a year after an area was cleared of trees near Garen Jorue, the mining company of Harroldson Mining began operations.
That was when more trouble began. The head of the company thought it was insane that “savages” were sitting atop one of the richest deposits of energicite in the region and becoming rich from mining. The president of the company sent in mercenaries to try and kill the villagers and their protectors; Muran and his team of synthetics. But they had conventional weapons while Muran and his team had multi-modes that were much superior.
Animals were forced to stampede and head for the village. But the force field Muran had installed around the village forced the creatures to go around the village. The fires that were set were extinguished by the waterfall via transporter portal.
When the president realized he wasn’t going to be able to take the property by force, he finally broke down and offered the village a settlement of 100 million rels and 5% of the profits from the mine for the next 50 years. Muran knew the concentration of energicite was worth billions of rels so he didn’t feel bad for the mining president since he made back the 100 million rels in less than two years.
Muran spent the rest of his life reaching people in the jungle and protecting them from those that wanted to take their land or eliminate them altogether. Goren Jorue grew to be a major city and when the 20th century began, many people who lived in the jungle were ready to live in the new century as civilized people. Towns and cities were carved out of the jungle and transportation systems both above and below ground joined them.
By the time Muran died in 1924, a new capitol for the region was founded. It was named Muran Jongfane after the missionary that had done so much for the people of the region. His Christian academy and seminary taught children and young adults how to live for Christ and serve him. His funeral was attended by over 10,000 people.
If you go to the city named after him, you will see a statue of him in the middle of the city in front of the capitol building. He eventually gave into the chief and married the woman presented to him. Their children are serving God with one of them, as President of the nation, leading his people into a brighter future. They have all been rejuvenated so that they can serve the people and God until he tells them time is up. Muron brought light to a dark continent which has been illuminated by God.
