The next day, I looked up and down the street. It was empty. No sign of those mean girls who took away all my confidence. As I walked onto the foot path I notice somebody was looking at me. A small boy it seemed as though he had been crying. I went towards him and asked him why he was crying.
“I was teased by a mean boy!” He replied.
That girl came racing into my head. Maybe this was the boy she was talking about. Maybe he is being bullied by somebody else. Maybe I was wrongly accused.
I walked with the boy to school where I left him with his friends. At school he seemed to be fine. He was playing happily and he was having fun.
After school, I met up with him and walked with him home. I asked him different questions like what did the bully look like and what he said to him.
After a while we reached a round about where we would walk separate paths home. Before we split, I asked him his name. He replied “my name is Jonah Johnson.
Once I heard him say his name, I was so relieved. His sister was barking on the wrong tree! About 100 meters away from my house, I was stopped by the same girl from the day before. She looked very angry.
“Hey. I talked to your brother and solved the problem with his issues.” I said happily
She grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and threw me to the ground like yesterday but even harder.
“I told you not to mess with him. He’s my brother and I saw with my own eyes. You made him cry.” She yelled
“Oh no no no…… I was just…….. He……..” I hesitated
“Shut up. Come here. I’m going to take you to our house and embarrass you.” She said with an evil laugh.
“No wait you don’t understand.” I explain “You got the wrong guy”
“Are you calling me dumb???? ARE YOU CALLING ME DUMB????????” She demanded
“NO NO NO. I have had it. Will you listen to me? You brother is being bullied by a boy name Mike Jackson. He has long black hair and looks a lot like me. I was trying to make your brother feel better earlier today.” I screamed
“Oh…..Oh I’m sorry. He must have pointed to you instead of this Mike guy. Jeez…..well thanks for helping us. Guess I should get going.” She said in a calm voice.
“Okay then see you later” I replied and we headed off in our different directions. I never saw Jonah and his sister again because they moved houses but i could tell we were becoming good friends.
