The most famous serial killer was not a man but a woman.

Elisabeth Bathory was a Countess from Hungary and lived in Hungary from August the 7Th in the year 1560 till the 21Th 1614. She was more richer then the King.

She was a well educated woman and could speak Hungarian, German and Latin. She lived in a castle in Slowakije.

She is the most famous serial killer in the Hungarian and Slovakian history and is also mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records for the woman with the most murders.

She and 4 people who had helped her were sentenced for killing to the amount off 2000 young girls and women. She was isolated from the the rest off the world in 1610 and died 4 years later. Because she came from a rich family with titles she could not get brought to death. The other 4 people were killed. Her nickname was the bloody Countess.

At the age off 15 years old she married a military Count Ferenc Nadasdy. He was not much at home and she was bored. So she let farmers be caught and tortured and killed those men. She began with these actions in 1585. She learned all the sadistic things from her husband. Her husband died in 1600. Elisabeth was left alone but she did not mind. She was more concerned about her looks while she grew older, she did not want to grow older.

One day when a maid combed her hair and pulled to hard on her hair Elisabeth whipped this maid till she bleed. Elisabeth saw the blood on her hands and she thought her hands looked younger so she ordered her other personnel to undress the maid and to cut her open so that the blood could rinse into a big bucket. Elisabeth took a bath in this blood and thought she was looking more younger. And every time her personnel took care off bringing her new fresh blood.

At the end there were 650 farm girls and maids killed! She also killed girls from higher societies and one girl managed to escape and told everything to the authorities. They searched in her castle and found 50 dead bodies in a dungeon off her castle and also found girls who were still alive.

The methods she used to kill and torture her victims were horrific! She cut a piece off flesh from the victim and this victim was forced to eat her own piece off flesh!

Elisabeth never confessed to her crimes. Yet she still was found guilty and she was put away in a room without windows only a small opening where food could be transferred to her. The walls off her staying were broken down in 1614 where she was found dead on her bed.

Totally nuts! What a horrific creature! Greetz Ingrid
