Is war murder?

The Murder-less War
Searing, hot, bullets zipping through the thick, humid air, some find their marks others wander aimlessly into the air. A vile stench fills the room, limbless bodies strewn everywhere. A blood soaked child scattered across the scope. The carpet stained black and red… Mission complete.
War, man’s attempt to maintain or achieve peace or control; two sides exist in war, the offender and the defender. When devastation occurs and alters our freedom, we cry war, when answered with war; we soon see folly in such a decision.
When the innocent die, they die not from murder but for their country. Millions perish due to war, brutally and very painfully for liberty or from oppression. The divergent side equals the enemy, no matter whom. War equals death not murder, combat matches pain, and fighting parallels victory and loss.
Once involved there is no getting out, this is our human nature. No one wants to lose we must win. Freedom or control, we must win. A leader dies from assassination; people die from burning buildings, and from that emerges war. Vengeance creates hardened hearts, foggy minds and battles.
Men, woman, and children, die in war. Men and woman must annihilate the enemy, at any extent. A bullet does not kill; a grenade does not kill; only the person using it kills. Murder, only the person doing it decides; Murder, no, only a person fulfilling a mission; a duty to their country, either by obligation or by tyranny.
War must end, somehow. The enemy must die or submit to their adversary. Death will occur in most wars. Face it! People succumb due to war. The prices of freedom … death… sorry, sacrifice.
