A young woman finds she has a rare condition that threatens he life and the life of her unborn children. After several miscarriages a doctor offers hope but at a significant price to the man who loves her. Will he have the courage to do what is necessary?

“I can picture that, and it is good.”

“Remember what he said about you, he could tolerate a cast better than you could tolerate being pregnant? He’s told nearly everyone that. You could make him pay for saying that if you really wanted to do it. Is that what you want?”

“Sure I do, but what is my part of the bargain? I bet it something immoral. I’m sure it is if he’s a party to it.”

“Not really immoral, just the same thing. There is something that he wants to see. You have to be pregnant for the same time he has the cast on.”

Dr. Brend’s eyebrows raised a little. “I knew it. That can’t be done and you know it. I have no intention of being pregnant to give him his wish. I’m sure he wants to be the stud to accomplish this.”

“Not really. That’s true, you can’t get pregnant for a weekend but we can’t break his leg either, just put on the cast.”

“I’d like to break his leg, or better his head, just give me something heavy to hit him with.” There was open hostility in her voice.

Dave continued, “We can simulate a break in his leg by putting on a cast and if we could simulate pregnancy, would you agree to it?”

“Let me think, I get to see him in a cast for a weekend but I have to be pregnant. How do you plan to handle that? Pregnancy isn’t that temporary, it’s for nine months.”

“With him it’s easy, we put a cast on his leg.”

“I want to do that! I could do a better job on that than any Ortho.” Dr. Brend exclaimed.

“Do you want him to make you pregnant?” Dave flushed.

“Of course not, what does that have to do with it?”

“He’ll demand whatever you do. Don’t ask for what you don’t want to give. We can simulate a pregnancy for you. Let us handle that. Do you have off next weekend?”

“Sure, I have Monday too, and my partner owes me a day so I could get Friday or Tuesday.”

“Make it Friday. I’ll see him and see if we have a deal.”

She nodded, “Let me get this straight. He has to wear a cast? A big heavy one?” A smile crossed her face. “All I have to do is be pregnant. I’m game if there is a rule that he can’t touch me.”

This seems like a very interesting story, as the others seem as well! I’ll get around to continuing it!
