A wife loses her husband due to the ill circumstances under which they were married. Merope gaunt tricks her husband using love potion to make him marry her. This is the night the potions effects wear off.

The smell of death surrounded them. The two lovers held one another in a tight embrace. The man’s eyes were for nobody but the woman. The glow on his face was almost unnatural. She was the most hideous woman there was, but he was infactuated.

“Tom it is almost time. Remember I would always love you. I hope you understand. We have a child on the way…”

Then the clock struck 12.

“DING…DONG”

“DING…DONG”

A sudden rush of cool air engulfed the couple. As the wind blew on it left not as a fresh breeze, but as a gush of warm air full of the love that held them together.

The man was standing there with all the colour drained from his face. The adoring eyes he had for his wife were now replaced with cold fearful glares. He pushed the woman away and shouted at her “Get away from me WITCH! I DO NOT WANT TO BE NEAR YOU!”.

With that he ran away from her as fast as he could. As if the past many months were a prison he was locked up in from which he now finally escaped. He ran all the way through the graveyard, up the winding road to his home. At the top of the path he stopped and turned to look at the pitiful being. She stood there, crouched over with hair dangling over her face as if she were a deranged woman. she looked up at him one last time with a pleading look on her face before she turned into a cloud of smoke and disappeared.

Tom continued running to his home. That would be his last encounter with magic until 16 years later when the fruit of a mother would be the poison of the father. Tom would be the demise of Tom.

——-end——-

I HOPE YOU LIKED THAT.
