“Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee, How great Thou art, How great Thou art” Kirk Thompson sang along with the rest of the church.

            This church was not like any ordinary church. For the past two years, the members had been forced to worship underground. The year was 2048. Two years before, the world had formed a one-world-government known as the One World Network(OWN). This group’s first goal was to finally establish a Utopia on Earth.

            One act that they had passed in this was outlawing all religions because of the fact that many of the wars in the world were based on religious beliefs. The Christians had formed underground churches while the Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists had began uprisings against the OWN. Millions of people on the Earth had already been killed in the war of Government vs. Religion.

            The underground church was a giant apartment with a sanctuary. After the church service, Kirk went to his room and checked his email to learn that he had received a message from a Jewish doctor named Abdullah Ben-Judahzweig. The email was urgent, requesting Kirk’s presence in Washington.

            Kirk had been a journalist for the New York Times before religion had been outlawed. After that, he had been forced to go into hiding along with seventy-five percent of the Earth’s population. Abdullah had gone into hiding as well and it surprised Kirk that the renowned doctor was out in the open.

            Kirk snuck out of the underground church and headed to Washington D.C. After arriving, he was curious as to where he would find the man. Doctor Ben-Judahzweig had given no clues as to where he might be.

            Then it came to Kirk, the night before religion had been outlawed, he had met the Doctor at the Lincoln Memorial. He immediately went there to check.

            When he arrived, Ben-Judahzweig stepped out from the shadows.
